The Path of a Shinobi (Reader x various)

Team 7

Minato Namikaze has arrived.

"W-Who are you?" Asked Sakura, but I stepped up right beside my teammates and placed a hand on the blonde's shoulder while slightly leaning on him.

"Well I'm glad your father showed up to help." I turned my head in the direction of his father and said, "Thank you for saving us."

"Of course." His father stared at me for a few seconds before his eyes shifted to my proximity with his son. "Are you perhaps....his girlfriend?"

"Huh?!" I blurted with reddened cheeks while Naruto on the other hand proudly nodded his head and I smacked the back of his head.

"When did you ever ask?! Don't just blindly say yes to something I never agreed on!"

"Can't you see that I'm recovering and yet here you are smacking me!" He retaliated.

"It was just a smack. You act like it's gonna be the death of you!"

Minato stood there watching our interaction with a sweat drop gliding down his forehead. "Please go easy on my son."

"Will do," I sighed out and looked over at Sakura to see how much progress she has made and so far, she was halfway done healing him. Leave it to Sakura to get the job done.

"The others should be arriving soon," said Naruto and I quizzically stared at him, but on cue, the First, Second and Third Hokage arrived.

Murmurs erupted and everyone's morale was boosted at seeing the four previous Hokages standing right before us. It was revealed that Orochimaru had summoned them.

"There's still more help coming, but they're taking a little longer."

"Who else could be coming?" I asked Naruto, but he shook his head refusing to answer.

"You'll see for yourself."

I wasn't sure if I should be elated or worried about who was to come.

"You two have done well. Take a little break and we'll take care of the rest. Your friend will be here soon. He's our ally too," said Minato and at the mention of friend, my stomach churned and felt uneasy.

'Wait... does he mean...' I stared at the ground and furrowed my brows. 'Him, an ally? No way.'

I stayed beside Naruto as we watched the four Hokages put up a red barrier that trapped the Ten Tails within it. We watched it struggle to break free, but my attention was shifted elsewhere when I saw onyx black hair from the corner of my eye and a certain Uchiha land a few feet away from me.

"You sure took your time getting here, Sasuke," grinned Naruto.

"Sasuke?!" Exclaimed Sakura which made heads turn including his, but his eyes met mine first when he looked over his shoulder.

"(Y/n)," he softly spoke, but nothing would come out of my mouth. I had nothing to say to him. I averted my (e/c) eyes away from his to avoid gentle gaze which left me weirded out.

"Sasuke?" Called out Ino who appeared but Choji and Shikamaru stopped her from taking another step.

"Stop Ino! He's our enemy."

"You're all still as noisy as ever," commented Sasuke.

"Why the hell are you here bastard?!" Shouted Kiba who appeared with Shino and Akamaru.

"Yeah... why are you even here?" I finally spoke up and asked. "If I recall, last time you were bent on killing us."

"A lot of things have happened. I've decided to protect the Leaf Village. And then I'll.... become Hokage."

I choked on air as I heard him say those last two words. Everyone was baffled and didn't believe a single word that came out of his mouth. They thought he had gone insane.

"You? Become Hokage? Why the hell do you want to become Hokage? There has to be a motive," I accused.

"Yeah! You can't just come back all of a sudden and crack a lame joke like that, you Rogue Ninja!" Shouted Kiba.

"I don't know what happened to you, but that's not possible. Do you even realize what you're saying?" Sternly said Shikamaru.

"Do you think we can just forget all the things you've done?" Asked Shino.

"Yeah I realize you probably can't. But... it doesn't matter what you guys think of me. All of the previous Kage created these current circumstances. So I will become the Hokage and change the village."

"That spot is already taken," I stepped up next to Sasuke and motioned over at Naruto who was behind me and began to stand up. He walked on over next to me and I was left standing in between the middle of the two males.

"Right! I'm going to become Hokage!"

"I'm glad there's so much interest in becoming Hokage but you guys are taking too much time! Start infusing chakra. Well take out the Ten Tails with an all out attack!" Exclaimed Hashirama.

"Let's go you two," I ushered Naruto and Sasuke with me, but Naruto turned around and thanked Sakura before we leapt towards the Ten Tails and stood on top of a rock.

A second later, Sakura appeared right beside us which left Naruto and I surprised.

"Do you see me as some sort of weak woman who can't keep up with you three? Do you think Lady Tsunade would be the only one out of the Legendary Sanin to inadequately train her student?"

"N-no, but we just thought you would stay behind to help others..." I trailed off.

"I'm almost there. I'll be at full capacity in a little bit. Then I can output my true power. Just like you, I'm a member of Team 7 and a student of one of the Legendary Sanin!" Her emerald eyes were full of bravery and determination which graced a smile on our faces except Sasuke quietly stood next to me without a care.

"Okay then! Team 7 is finally back!" Loudly exclaimed Naruto who punched the palm of his hand with his fist. The four of us stood tall with Sasuke standing on the left followed by me then Naruto and lastly Sakura standing on his right.

"Let's go, Sakura, (Y/n), Sasuke!"

"Right!"

"Yeah!"

"Hn."

Team 7 was ready to fight together once again
