New team?

Three days had gone by and we were back to the Leaf Village. Kakashi Sensei was at the hospital recovering from exerting his chakra so much along with his new visual prowess. Especially with that bumpy ride back with Guy Sensei.

You exited the hospital with Naruto while Sakura had gone with Lady Tsunade and Shizune to discuss things.

"Where to now?" You asked him, wondering if he wanted to do anything in particular.

"I have my own things to do right now." Before you could question him any further, he jumped onto the buildings nearby and disappeared. You shrugged your shoulders and continued on with your life. While you were in close proximity to reaching your house you encountered Ino.

"(Y/n)!! Good you're here now, help me find Choji!" She grabbed your hand and dragged you around the busy streets in search for him. 'But I wanted to go home and sleep.'

You let out a sigh while looking around, trying to catch sight of him. You felt this odd feeling, like the presence of someone's eyes glued onto your figure. You turned around but you didn't happen to see anyone suspicious. You were about to walk a few steps forward to check out the area but Ino started calling out to you.

"Hey what's wrong?"

"Oh nothing."

"Hm okay if you say so." She continued on walking while you followed after her but you kept glancing behind you every so often to see if anyone unfamiliar was following you.

After 20 minutes had gone by, you were losing hope in finding Choji. Seeing as Ino was distracted, you created a shadow clone and had it join Ino while you slipped away behind a building. You waited a couple of seconds before stepping out in the open. Ino was out of sight with your clone and you took your chance to leave. Walking off in the opposite direction, you placed your hands in your pocket and started walking towards your house.

Your mind was in a daze while your eyes were casted downwards, glued on the road in front of you. There wasn't anything in particular you were thinking about, it was just blank. While you were walking you accidentally bumped shoulders with someone.

"Oh sorry," you blurted out in an apologizing manner. You find yourself staring a young man who appears to be your age. He had straight, short black hair and pale skin. Your eyes wander to his hand as you seem him pulling out a tantō from behind. In one swift movement, he aimed his tantō at your chest and tried to slash you. You jumped away on time and kept your distance a few feet away from him, not knowing what other tricks he had up his sleeve.

"What the heck was that for?!"'Apparently an apology wasn't enough for him.'

"I thought this would be a great opportunity to fight a girl like you. As from what I can tell you're a ninja right?"

"Right..." 'But a girl like me?'

"You don't look much like a ninja. Especially your absurd appearance."

"What's wrong with my appearance?"

"You seem to fit the category that's more likely prepared for a seduction mission instead of combat on the battlefield."

"Excuse me but who are you to be making such assumptions about me?!" You inched closer to him while jabbing a finger at his chest. 'Who the heck does he think he is?!'

"I'm Sai," he replied while letting out a fake smile. He extended his hand outward for you to shake but you glanced from his hand to his face. Your face masked one of uncertainty and irritation.

"Don't go on judging people by your own preconceptions," was the last thing you said in an icy tone before walking away from him.

'And yet I wonder why Lord Danzo wants me to keep an eye on her," pondered Sai as he watched you leave from his sight.
