The Path of a Shinobi (Reader x various)

Decision

Once we arrived back at the Hidden Leaf Village, we were met with team 10 waiting for us at the main gate.

"I heard from my dad about Sasuke," announced Shikamaru and it seemed like news had spread like a wildfire already reaching our village and every other.

"Yeah. And I almost fought with him."

Team 10 was surprised to hear that, but Naruto continued on speaking by asking. "I'll give you the details later. Sorry but do you mind getting everyone together? There's something I want to say."

"Okay." Agreed Shikamaru.

~Timeskip~

We had met in a secluded area where there were a stack of pillars to our left and right. Naruto had informed everyone about what happened with Sasuke from the Five Kage Summit up until when he killed Danzō and when we last saw him.

Everyone was shocked yet they were uneasy with the way Sasuke had changed and the actions he has committed.

"That's why I want you to let me handle Sasuke," firmly stated Naruto. However, everyone was against this.

Tenten had slammed her fist on the stack of pillars and yelled, "You'll take on Sasuke alone?! How can you expect us to agree to that!"

"Tenten is right," stepped in Shino. "We can't just give into your stubbornness. The reason is because this is a big problem for the village."

"I'm not being stubborn."

"You said you'd give us the details when we got home, but I never thought this is what you would say!" We turned our heads to look at Kiba who was lying on his stomach on top of the pillars along with Akamaru. He slammed his fist down on the wooden pillars and loudly exclaimed, "We all made up our minds to kill Sasuke!"

"Hey Naruto...don't tell me you're saying you'll handle Sasuke all by yourself only so you can try to protect him?" Keenly asked Shikamaru.

"No. I have no intention of protecting Sasuke."

This had caused me to raise a brow at Naruto since I that was an unexpected answer. Especially since I know he wants to save Sasuke and he isn't going to stand by and have someone kill him.

"After all that fighting at the Five Kage Summit and with Danzo, if he was weakened, why didn't you take him out right there and then?" Asked Neji.

"Madara was there too! It didn't seem so easy." Piped up Sakura and I agreed with her right after.

"Madara isn't someone to be taken lightly. We only saw a glimpse of his abilities. We don't know what he's fully capable of yet."

"Still!" Retorted Kiba. "That's no reason to let him get away so easily! Hey Naruto, (Y/n)....you guys are strong. You guys are the heroes who stood up against Pain and took him down."

"Huh?" Naruto and I both said at the same time and raised a brow at each other.

"You could take him down just like you guys did before," continued Kiba, but I shook my head knowing that Naruto doesn't want me involved in the fight. This was their fight.

"That's not true," muttered Naruto as he turned his back to Kiba. "I wouldn't be able to beat Sasuke with something like that. That's what I found out."

I quizzically stared at Naruto at his last statement wondering what exactly he meant by that.

"What do you mean? What did you find out?Asked Lee.

"I'm the only one who can fight him. That's what I mean. Nobody should take on Sasuke as he is now. So...please leave it to me." Naruto placed his hands behind his head and walked away from our friends who called out his name.
