Battle at Tenchi Bridge Part One

From afar, you could see Captain Yamato disguised as Sasori waiting for the spy to step out. You, Naruto, Sakura, and Sai were crouched behind a bundle of bushes and a rigged rock, waiting for his signal if needed.

It wasn't until after a few minutes that someone appeared wearing a light navy hooded cloak. It was difficult to distinguish their face from afar but you'd have to wait and see.

They were now standing face to face, exchanging a few words between each other. The hooded figure slightly parted his hood and it revealed Kabuto's face.

'So he's the spy...'

"What's taking him so long to give us the signal?!"

"He can't blow his cover yet, just give it some more time," you said. You were all anxiously waiting, eyeing their every moment. The large distance and rustling wind made it difficult for you to even decipher a murmur from them. Naruto placed one hand behind his ear, still trying to find out what they're saying.

"You're not gong to figure out a single word so just use your eyes. You don't know what might pop up." You and your big mouth just had to jinx it because out of the blue, Orochimaru showed up besides Kabuto.

This wasn't turning out the way we expected. Kabuto's hand started to emite a light blue chakra and quickly sliced through Captain Yamato's puppet costume. He backed away immediately and signaled us out and. All four of us leaped out in front of Captain Yamato, ready for battle.

Besides you, Naruto was seething with rage at the sight of Orochimaru.

"Well, well, look who we have here. Surely I wouldn't forget the faces of the nine tails and eleven tails," he said with a smirk plastered on his face. He would surely get under Naruto's skin in no time.

"Might as well have a little fun together. Let's see who's gotten stronger, you two or Sasuke." Naruto's teeth were becoming more canine and his fingernails were already sharp enough to pierce someone.

"With the two of us, he won't have a chance."

"Confident aren't we? Let's just put that to the test then." This guy was just eager to battle us.

"Give Sasuke back. Give...him...back," murmured Naruto through clenched teeth. He was trying to restrain himself from lashing out and tearing Orochimaru into pieces.

"If you want to know about Sasuke, then you'll have to force it out of me."

Everyone could already feel the immense chakra that was radiating from his body. His red cloak was already bubbling and forming around his body along with one tail emerging. At an alarming speed, he dashed past Kabuto and was face to face with Orochimaru. He swung a fist at him that sent Orochimaru flying through an abundant amount of trees.

'Woah, if I was in that stage, then I'd have that much speed and power. Who would want to mess with me in that state...unless they really want to die.'

"You've really come a long way as a Jinchuriki, Naruto. The power of the nine tails only grows stronger and stronger." With his forefinger and middle finger, he pushed his glasses up higher to the bridge of his nose. He turned his back on Naruto and faced you. "What about you (Y/N)? Why don't you show me the power of the eleven tails hm?"

"Yeah right, like I'd be dumb enough to do that. I'm not risking the chance of being taken over by my own tailed beast."

Naruto gave a menacing glare at Kabuto and he began to slowly approach him.

"(Y/n) look!" Sakura pointed a finger straight ahead in the direction of the cluster of trees. Orochimaru had appeared unharmed and without any scratches on his body, except for his face. His skin was torn in half making a zig zagged line but he removed the decaying skin, only to reveal that same pale face of his.

At his appearance again, Naruto directed to attention back to him. "We really could put his power to the test against our dear Sasuke."

"Don't talk about Sasuke like you own him...especially in front of me!" Replied Naruto in an even more spiteful tone. The malice in voice was dripping with hatred and caused an emergence of another two tails. His nine tails chakra erupted from his body and created a powerful gust of wind with a mixture of chakra to surround him. The strong, compelling wind made everyone shield their faces and squint their eyes. The movement of the swaying bridge under our feet was unsteady.

You were currently trying to get a clear view of Naruto without causing the gust of wind to hit your face. 'If only in a situation like this, Jiraiya Sensei could've given me a sealing tag. Why didn't he bother giving us one for a time like this.'

You battled against the the current and started approaching Kabuto from behind. He saw you coming closer and starting emitting chakra from his hand again to form a blade. He charged after Naruto while you followed suit.

At the sight of Kabuto behind, Naruto had emitted a powerful screech and ended up firing a small, white, destructive orb at Kabuto. You jumped back with your team so you wouldn't get in range of the blast. The blast had managed to make impact with Kabuto, but the blast had sent him flying back as well. Kabuto collided against Sakura and sent her crashing against the ground, knocking her head and leaving her unconscious.

What a great time to get knocked unconscious Sakura.

The bridge was beginning to deteriorate and started crumbling down into the flowing river. We leaped away, but realized Sakura was still lying on the brudage and began to plummet down the broken arched bridge, each piece falling bit by bit. We had to react quickly before she could either receive some minor or major injuries.

"Sai!" He saw your eyes travel to Sakura's figure and knew what to do. He unveiled his scroll and painted a medium sized bird that came to life. He hoped on it and flew down the deep ravine. In a matter of seconds, he was in Sakura's range but what surprised us was that he glided past Sakura and flew back up in the air, letting her body helplessly fall.

"What the-Sai!!" He paid no heed to his name being called and flew off to who knows where. "Do I have to do everything myself?!"  You let out an exasperated sigh and jumped off the cliff. Captain Yamato had provided a lengthy, wooden walkway just beneath the cliff and allowed you to slide towards the bottom.

'Just wait until I get my hands on you Sai!'

As you were reaching her grasp, your eyes had activated into your Rinnegan. 'Universal Pull.' Her entire body was hauled toward your hand in a few seconds. You grabbed her by the arm and steadily placed her on your back. Your footsteps were thumping loudly against the hollow walkway as you made it back towards the top of the cliff. Looking around, you had set Sakura down against a tree. Captain Yamato was pretty much the only one in plain sight. Who knows where the others were blasted off to.

"Should we just leave her there?" You asked while pointing at Sakura's unconscious form.

"It's best if we both stay here. We don't know what could be going on." At that moment an explosion was heard from the distance and you gave him a look indicating that you wanted to check what was going on.

"I'll send out a clone to scout the area first then you can go ahead and check. Obey my orders."

A scowl had formed on your lips, not wanting to obey his orders, nonetheless you stayed put for now...

'You better be all right Naruto.'
