The Path of a Shinobi (Reader x various)

A False Confession

Two days had passed since the incident with the Raikage. During that time while I was out on my own, Naruto had an unexpected visit from the masked man who spoke to him about Sasuke and Itachi. But he escaped as soon as he finished with what he needed to say to him.

I was sitting on the rooftop letting the snow fall on my cloak as I guarded the area. From a distance I saw five moving silhouettes and I squinted my eyes trying to distinguish them but I couldn't. I got up on my feet and created three shadow clones which appeared right behind me.

"Ambush them," I said to all three as I pointed at the five approaching figures. They nodded their heads and quickly vanished.

As the I remained on top of  the rooftop, I heard a male yell, "What the hell (Y/n)!"

'Kiba?'

I jumped off the rooftop and ran over to where the silhouettes were and found Kiba lying on the ground with my clone stepping on his back along with Sakura, Akamaru, Sai and Lee surrounded by my two other clones.

I dispelled my clones and walked on over to Kiba to give him a hand. "Sorry about that guys, I thought you guys were intruders or something."

"Intruders to that place?" He pointed a finger at the place I was staying at with the others. "No thanks."

He grabbed my hand but I let go and let him fall back onto the snow. "Hey! What was that for?!"

"For not liking my temporary home. You can't expect me to build some freaking castle or something in this snow!"

He shrugged his shoulders thinking that maybe it could be possible but I shook my head. "What are you guys doing here? You have no business out here."

Footsteps were heard behind me and as I peered over my shoulder I saw Naruto, Kakashi Sensei, and Captain Yamato coming.

"Sakura....Sai, Kiba and Bushy Brows? You guys were the ones I sensed."

"Why did you all come here?" Asked Kakashi Sensei.

Sakura was the one to step forward and kept her emerald eyes locked on Naruto.

"Naruto. I need to speak with you."

I took a few steps back and stood next to my friends as we waited for them to talk.

Sakura took in a deep breath and her cheeks began to grow pink. "Naruto...I love you."

"WHA-" my mouth was clamped shut by Kiba and Sai as I stared wide eyed at Sakura and glancing over at Naruto who was having trouble processing what she just said. Lee on the other hand was crying a river as his crush confessed to another man.

"Huh? W-what did you say, Sakura? I think I heard wrong. Could you say it again? Naruto's ocean blue eyes were shimmering as he stared at his longtime childhood crush who looked bashful at having to repeat those three words again.

"I said...I....love you Naruto."

'No way! Is this happening?! Sakura confessing to Naruto? Someone who she never liked romantically?'

Naruto's eyes trailed away from Sakura's emerald eyes to my (e/c) eyes which were already looking at his. His eyes held confusion as he looked between Sakura and I and he didn't t appear as ecstatic as I thought he would be. But that sparkle and light in his eyes slowly faded as he was staring at Sakura and they dimly appeared and began to shine brighter when he glanced my way.

I removed Kiba's and Sai's hands from my mouth, but they were one step ahead of me and placed their arms out in front of me to stop me from stepping forward.
