1 Year and a Half Later

Age: 10 1/2

Naruto and I walked in the classroom together and spotted a place sit at the center of the classroom in the middle row.

Sasuke was already sitting there and next to him was a pink haired girl named Sakura who had his eyes on him.

On the table were three pieces of paper and we realized only one person could sit there, but there was enough room for two so we sat ourselves there with me sitting at the end of the table. Naruto turned around and snatched the paper that belonged to the brown haired boy who had a dog on his head.

"Hey!"

"You act like you're going to use it Kiba."

"Neither are you, so give her yours!"

Naruto gave me Kiba's paper and placed it in front of me and I thanked him although I didn't think it was necessary to steal his paper.

Ever since that incident that occurred a year and a half ago during the sparring match, Naruto had remained by my side and acted as a pillar to keep me standing. I did the same for him and acted as his light when he was lost in this world with nowhere to roam or whom to run to and so I reached out my hand and guided him home.

He helped through those times while Sasuke had become distant. I tried reconnecting with him, but he would push me away and I simply had enough.

If he didn't want me then... I guess so be it.

We parted ways which only resulted in Naruto and I gradually becoming closer.

"Good morning class," walked in Iruka Sensei and we all greeted him.

"We'll be doing something new today. I want to ask you all something. If the world were to end tomorrow, who would be the last person you would want to be with?"

"Things like that will never happen," loudly said Naruto who leaned back and had his arms behind his head.

"Who knows. Maybe the moon could fall," mentioned Iruka Sensei as an example.

"If things like that could happen, I would rather hope for meat to fall instead of the moon," gushed Choji and the class began to laugh.

"If that were to happen, I'll be there with you," commented Naruto to Sakura who brushed him off.

"Don't worry about it. I've decided to spend my last day with someone I love," she blushed and gazed at Sasuke who had a hand propped on his cheek with his eyes closed.

"Write down the name of the person who you would spend your last day with."

I heard pencils begin to move and I stared at my blank paper with no one coming to mind.

My parents weren't here and neither was Itachi or Shisui. I didn't have many friends either and those who I was friends with, I'm not really sure if I would spend my last day with them.

I placed a hand on my cheek and used my other hand to hold the pencil as I tapped it on the desk.

I glanced over at Naruto to see him crafting a paper airplane.

"(Y/n), watch this." Naruto lifted the paper airplane and threw it across the room and it flew out the window.

Iruka Sensei walked up to our table and looked directly at Naruto.

"Hey Naruto, don't throw your paper out!"

"But it's unlikely that the world will come to an end."

"I'm just saying "if" it does."

"Well it's not gonna happen."

Iruka Sensei walked back up to the front and grabbed another paper that he placed in front of Naruto.

"Write someone down and don't play with the paper."

Naruto grumbled and gazed at the paper for a few minutes before he glanced at me from the corner of his eye and began to write something down.

I noticed his pencil move and he immediately covered up the paper with reddened cheeks and a nervous laugh.

I smiled at him and began to think, 'Maybe being stuck with him wouldn't be so bad.'

I began to write down his name and while doing so, I didn't see a pair of onyx eyes watching me write something down.

From afar it looked like he had a blank paper as well, but the minuscule letters that were written down at the corner of his paper were hardly noticeable.

"If you're done, please pass up your papers to the front."

Everyone did as told and I handed mine up to Shikamaru who sat in front of me and he kindly received it.

He turned around once again and asked, "Are you two still on to hang out later?"

"You bet!" Answered Naruto and I nodded my head in approval.

Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji and I had developed a friendship since they didn't view us the same way as other people. Since yesterday, we've been talking about hanging out again after class ends.

Shikamaru turned his body forward and once Iruka Sensei collected all of the papers, he placed them on his desk. He switched onto a lecture which left me spacing out until class ended.
