While your teammates were still away, you had been practicing on your jutsus and trying to perfect the  change in nature of your Rasengan.

While Naruto was gone, you were able to master changing the chakra nature in your Rasengan to a wind nature which fascinated you. But you weren't able to actually test it out yet to see how much damage it would cause.

Not long after they started their mission, they came back with a boy named Sora who was from the Fire Temple. You can still vaguely remember your encounter with him.

*Four days ago*

You had just finished your training late afternoon and were in the busy streets of Konoha. While you were walking, from afar you instantly caught sight of yellow and pink hair. A smile broke out from your face and you quickly ran over, calling out their names.

"Naruto, Sakura! You guys are back already?" Once you caught up to them, Sai and Captain Yamato were with them but you noticed another male standing behind Naruto.

"Yeah, not too long. But we'll probably be leaving again in a day or two. We just came by to show Sora around and so he can speak with Granny." Naruto pointed his thumb at the male behind him and you caught a glance of him.

He had straight, shoulder length hair that was grayish blue and looked dull. He wore the monk attire and brown sandals. You got this weird feeling from him, no, more like his chakra. It was something similar to that of a Jinchuriki. But there was no way someone else could have such similar chakra.

He met your eyes for a second but 'hmphed' then turned his head away. You raised a brow at his action but shrugged it off.

"Well nice to meet you Sora. I'm (Y/n), another member of Team Kakashi or Captain Yamato since he's in charge right now." You extended your hand out to shake his hand but he glanced at your hand then your face.

"Judging from your looks, you don't look like much of a ninja to me." Sakura had whacked Sora on the back of his head and let out a small 'ow.'

"Don't mind him (Y/n), that's his normal everyday attitude. Him and Naruto got on each other's nerves the minute they met," said Sakura.

You retracted your hand back and placed it on your hip. "My looks have nothing to do with my skill."

"Yeah! (Y/n) is an awesome ninja with both skill and beauty. Believe it," Naruto proclaimed to Sora.

"Thanks Naruto," you said in a sheepish tone as other civilians started to stare at at you and the rest from Naruto's outburst.

"So why exactly couldn't you go on the mission? Not good enough?" Asked Sora with his arms crossed over his chest.

"I had other businesses to attend to." You didn't plan on telling your teammates about your solo mission anytime soon, maybe never.

"Like what, tending to your hair?"

Everyone started to notice the scowl on your lips but you responded back, "No, just waiting for someone like you to come along, who I could use my jutsu on and knock that attitude right out of you!"

"Oh yeah? If you think so you're so tough, I'd like to see you try then." He now had his forehead pressed up against yours as you did the same while you were both gritting your teeth.

"You'd be out cold in the blink of an eye."

Naruto slightly glared at Sora, noticing how close in proximity you two were. Seeing you and him like that brought back the memory in the academy when him and Sasuke were glaring daggers at each other like that. But it ended up in an accidental kiss.
