The Path of a Shinobi (Reader x various)

Hidan and Kakuzu

Shikamaru had explained everything to you and Kakashi Sensei about the two Akatsuki member's skills that they managed to obtain. Their names were Hidan and Kakuzu.

Shikamaru ended up changing the plan a bit due to Kakashi Sensei joining, but he discussed everyone's part and what they were expected to do.

After running for awhile, we arrived at a barren land with tall, dead trees surrounding the land. It was difficult to pinpoint their footsteps or find a trail on them considering how much time has gone by.

An idea soon came to Shikamaru once he saw a hawk flying above us and shot Ino a look. She nodded her head at him and used her Mind Transfer Jutsu on the hawk to search for them.

We laid her unconscious body up against a tree while we waited for her to return. A couple of minutes had gone by until her eyes shot open and she gasped.

"Hey, are you okay? What happened?" All four of us were circled around her but at the same time, gave her the space she needed.

"I'm okay, but they're definitely taking a different route towards Konoha. They're ten minutes from here."

Ino guided us and we ended up running in the direction they were at. Ten minutes had gone by and we were able to see their figures from afar, but everyone hid behind a tree while Shikamaru had prepared his Shadow Possesion Jutsu.

It slowly creeped up behind them but Kakuzu and Hidan were able to spot it and jumped away. Shikamaru immediately threw two kunais with an explosive tag attatched to it. Then threw two chakra blades right besides them that held a fake explosive tag.

Once he trapped them in his jutsu, you took that as your cue to enter and attack. You jumped out from your hiding spot and stood next to Shikamaru.

Seeing as they were distracted, you weaved handsigns and breathed out a giant fireball, watching as it quickly approached them. You were surprised though once you saw that Kakuzu's hand had suddenly emerged from underneath the ground and removed the chakra blade that restricted him. He moved out of harms way and left Hidan to burn.

"WHOEVER DID THAT, YOU'RE A BITCH!" Screamed Hidan from within the fire. "AND KAKUZU, YOU BASTARD!"

Once it had cleared out, your eyes trailed over the visible burn marks that was left on his skin. His cloak was singed off, only to reveal he was now shirtless.

"Thanks, that was me," you casually said and lifted your hand up for a second to indicate it was you. Hidan was gritting his teeth and glaring at you but couldn't move as he was still under Shikamaru's control.

"Oi, she's one of the jinchurikis from Konoha right Kakuzu? Along with the nine tails."

He nodded his head and responded back, "We'll kill those who are with her and bring her back to our leader to extract the tailed beast."

"She would make a better sacrifice to Lord Jashin, she's a good looking one. Or maybe even for me" he said with a smirk at the end.

Kakuzu shot his hand towards Shikamaru and made him release his hold on Hidan as he jumped away.

"Now I'll show you guys not to mess with me." Hidan had a sinister look on his face as he licked his lips, staring right at you.

"Guess we have a change of plans now," you said as you kept watch on the two of them.

Hidan grabbed his scythe and twirled it around, ready for some blood to be shed. He charged straight at you and swung his scythe trying to cut you down while you were merely dodging his weapon.

You pulled out two kunais and blocked his scythe from above your head. You stood your ground and tried to push him back but he was slowly overpowering you in strength.

On your right, you could see that Kakashi Sensei had managed to strike Kakuzu through the chest with his Chidori.

"Aw the little Jinchuriki is here to help her friends get revenge. Well you're going to die soon if you keep your eyes on your friends." He kicked you in the stomach and sent you tumbling to the ground a good few feet.

You could heard the sound of a tree come crashing down to the ground and saw that Kakuzu who was miraculously still alive, was the one who sent Kakashi Sensei crashing into the now broken tree.

Hidan jumped in the air and was about to bring his scythe down again until Choji used used his Partial Expansion Jutsu, enlarging his right arm to punch Hidan and sent him crashing into a tree.

"Thanks Choji." He gave you a nod before leaping to Shikamaru's side, in case he needed help.

Kakuzu removed his Akatsuki cloak and from his back emerged three tall black distorted figures and each figure had a mask.

Rather than Hidan coming back to Kakuzu's side, he charged right at Kakashi Sensei with his scythe in hand.

"Kill them all except for the (h/c) haired Jinchuriki," spoke Kakuzu. At his words, the three figures individually created a wind, fire and lighting jutsu that was blasted towards everyone.

'This won't do much but it's something.' In the blink of an eye, your Saigaigan had appeared. You created a few handsigns and slammed your hands on the dirt ground to create mulitiple mud walls to protect you and your friends.

Kakashi Sensei moved away from Hidan and copied your actions by creating a row of mud walls as well. Many were lined up and towered above us, but we could hear the attacks slowly breaking through them especially the lightning jutsu. You had to admit that Kakashi Sensei's Earth Style was far more superior than yours. Yours were crumbling down quickly while his were solid and resistant to some of the damage.

This gave everyone a chance to run farther back to avoid being struck. As the last few walls were coming down, you and Kakashi Sensei jumped onto a nearby tree and watched as sparks of lightning destroyed the last mud wall to pieces.

Suddenly Kakashi Sensei picked you up and carried you away bridal style before Kakuzu's approaching arm could grab you.

"We're not fucking done with you two!" Hidan appeared midair and tried to slice Kakashi Sensei's arm. But he moved out of harms way with you in his arms.

Shikamaru and Choji had intervened by using their clan's Jutsu. But it was difficult for Ino to caster her own justu, since they were moving all over the place.

"(Y/n), we'll work together to pierce all four of Kakuzu's hearts. Don't let the other one lay a hand on you," he said in a protective tone of voice.

"I'll be fine, don't worry." You gave him a reassuring smile at the end but that was only enough to ease half of his worries.

'One by one, they will all fall. The Akatsuki will go down.'
