The Assasin of the Mist

Authors Note: Thank you to those who are still reading this I appreciate it and sorry if this chapter is boring.

We were all quitely sitting in a boat heading to the Land of Waves and it was difficult to see the view due to the thick mist that surrounded us all.

We were slowly getting closer and saw the bridge that was under construction.

Naruto loudly exclaimed," Woah it's huge!"

However, we shushed him since we were told to remain quiet on the boat.

"Mr. Tazuna I want to ask you something. The men who were after you I need to know why, if you don't tell us I'm afraid we'll have to end this mission when we drop you on shore."

Tazuna had no choice but to tell us why he was being targeted. "The one who seeks my life is a short man who casts a long, deadly shadow. He's one of the wealthiest man, the shipping magnet, Gato."

Tazuna began to explain who Gato was and about the village's poverty in the land. We felt guilty as he mentioned his grandson and daughter as a way to feel sympathy for him so we decided to keep guarding him.

We soon reached the shore and proceeded walking to reach Tazuna's house but as we were walking Naruto threw a kunai at a bush. We were all surprised by his action but he then threw another one.

"Naruto you shouldn't be throwing kunais around so carelessly," I said while Sakura agreed but she also punched Naruto on the head.

Kakashi Sensei went to go check where Naruto had thrown his kunai and we saw that it was a white rabbit. Naruto began to apologize to the small rabbit but I felt shivers run down my spine as I looked around.

"Look out!" Yelled Kakashi as we saw an incoming blade heading towards us but we managed to duck on time. We all looked up and saw a man standing ontop of the blade.

"Well well if it isn't Zabuza Momochi, rogue ninja from the village Hidden in the Mist," said Kakashi cooly. Naruto started charging at him until Kakashi stopped him and told him he was on another level. We noticed Kakashi lift up his headband and reveal his Sharingan.

"Everyone keeps saying Sharingan Sharingan, what exactly is this Sharingan," said Naruto. Sasuke briefly explained what the Sharingan was, but Zabuza eventually informed us more about it. Sasuke quizzically stared at Kakashi Sensei curious as to how he had obtained the Sharingan.

Thin mist began to appear but we soon prepared ourselves by going in Manji formation. Zabuza then jumped off his blade and stood standing on the water.

"Ninja art: Hidden Mist jutsu."

I noticed that the mist became thicker but I stayed alert trying to detect him.

We suddenly heard Zabuza speak and trying to decide what will be his kill point. I saw Sasuke trembling and tensing up as he raised his kunai towards his stomach.

"Sasuke, calm down. I'll protect you with my life, all of you. I will not allow my comrades to die, trust me," replied Kakashi as he gave us a smile from behind his mask.

I debated whether or not I should place my hand ontop of Sasuke's shoulder but decided against it. I placed my hand on top of his hand and moved the kunai away from his stomach while giving him a small smile and said,"We may not be on the best of terms, but I'll help you if you need me."

"I wouldn't be so sure," said Zabuza as he appeared behind us and was about to swing his blade. I quickly turned around and tried cutting him, but Kakashi Sensei ended up stabbing him. Water began to drip from where Zabuza was wounded and it had appeared to be a water clone.
