The Past

"Why are you interested in that?" She scoffed as she turned her head away from me while I walked closer to her.

"Because clearly there's history between the two of you. Naruto and I are close and we'll continue to remain that way which means you gotta deal with him and Kurama. I don't want there to be this heavy tension all the time. If you want me to understand you then I want to know about you and your past."

My (e/c) eyes bore into her red eyes before she closed them for a moment and sighed. She reopened her eyes and they softened for a second before they returned to their normal state and she grumbled, "Fine. It's not like there's anything else to do in this lousy cage...."

~Flashback~

"Should we really be doing this?" Said a woman whose voice slightly quivered as she looked around the area that was filled with nine other people who stared at her and the man beside her with greed in their eyes.

"It's the only way to protect ourselves!"

A blinding white light enveloped the area after uniting the chakra that everyone had gathered. The blinding lightly turned into a sphere and landed on the ground and revealed itself to be a small, white kitsune with bloody crimson eyes. It raised its tails and eleven tails were floating behind her as she glanced at everyone before her.

"I-It worked!"

"We now have a beast."

"An Eleven Tailed Fox!"

"So you're the ones who have been causing a ruckus," interrupted a tall, young pale skinned man appeared with short, spiky brown hair who had purple eyes and a goatee. He wore a full length white kimono that had black Magatamas on the collar of the kimono.

Everyone's eyes widened at the sight of this man and tried to cover up the tailed beast that was behind them.

"I-It's..."

"H-Hagoromo?!"

The man named Hagoromo walked up to them and everyone immediately moved out of his way and he stood in front of the fox who had a cold demeanor displayed on her face.

"Who are you?" Softly spoke the fox which surprised everyone since her soft tone and her cold expression contrasted one another.

"A friend. I know others like you who I'd like you to meet." Hagoromo crouched down on one knee and extended his hand out to the female fox who glanced between his hand and face.

She slowly walked over to him on her own will and he scooped her up in his arms like a baby.

"These Tailed beasts aren't for power. They're individuals like us. I can't trust you (L/n)s right now because of what you've done which is why I will be taking her."

"But what if people try going against us?! What happened with that Rabbit Goddess long ago could happen again! We need to be ready! Surely this fox will help-"

"There will be no such thing happening. I will make sure of it." Hagoromo held his head high with a serious expression on his face as he gazed at the members of the (L/n) clan before walking past them.

His eyes glanced down at the newly created tailed beast in his arms and began to observe it as he mulled over something.

"Akako," he suddenly said which made the fox look up at him in confusion.

"Your name will be...Akako."

He placed his hand over her bloody red eyes and everything went dark from there.

~Akako's POV~

The darkness vanished and I was in a dimly lit place and encircling me were other beasts who watched with curious eyes at the sudden appearance of a new tailed beast. Standing beside me, although smaller in height, was Hagoromo and underneath us was a circle with six Magatama.

"These will be your companions." He motioned at everyone with his hand and pointed at sandy brown colored tanuki.

"Shukaku."

Then moved onto a cat like beast engulfed in blue flames. "Matatabi."

He continued down the circle and my red eyes skimmed each beast whose name I learned which were Isobu, Son Goku, Kokuo, Saiken, Chōmei, Gyūki.

"And lastly, Kurama."

My eyes landed on a pair of red eyes with a black slit and this Kurama happened to be a fox as well. Our eyes locked for a moment and I nodded my head at him as a way to greet him.

'Well at least there's someone similar to me."

"Akako will be with us from now on. She'll be sealed within me as well and I hope for all of you to get along with her," smiled Hagoromo and everyone nodded their head. He disappeared and left me in their care.

"Well it's great to have another companion join us," bowed Matatabi.

"And a strong one! You've even beaten Kurama!" Roared Gyūki while Kurama scoffed at his comment and glanced over at me and watched the numerous tails that were behind me.

I noticed this and cleared my throat to gain his attention which I did. Well, his attention was already on me the moment I entered.

"Please take good care of me," I said to them as I slightly bowed my head towards them before lifting it back up and my eyes met Kurama's once more who had his gaze on me, but he averted his gaze once our eyes met.

I hid a smile that was itching to form by turning away from them and seated myself next to Kurama since the circle they were in seemed to go by the order of tails.
