Chakra Natures

A few days had gone by since that incident and we were currently visiting Kakashi Sensei, however Naruto was asleep on one of the hospital beds.

"Well judging by how you have been doing lately, you'll be cleared to leave today," said Lady Tsunade who stood in between you and Sakura.

"By any chance, you're not rushing me to leave so I can take my... baggage with me right?" He asked while looking over at Naruto who was beginning to snore loudly.

"Well there's that too," Lady Tsunade added in.

"He's been camped out in this hospital room for days just so he could resume training the minute he recovers."

"Well that's him. You don't see me lying around here waiting for Kakashi Sensei to get off that bed." You said while lettting out a small sigh as you watched Naruto's weird sleeping position but then proceeded to scratch his butt. He was drooling over the large white pillow, clutching on to it ever so close and tightly as if it were a body pillow. He was sleeping in his comfy blue shirt along with some green boxers with pink hearts printed over them.

"Well I was hoping I could recuperate for a few days at home but since I've run out of reading material, I might as well start their training."

"That's the spir-"

"RASEN!!"

You ended up jumping a little in surprise and from fright at his random sudden outburst. A tick mark appeared on everyone's forehead at Naruto's outburst and the way he was acting in the hospital bed. Sakura had stormed on over to his bed and got right in front of his face then yelled, "WAKE UP IDIOT!"

He instantly sat up in fear and slowly turned his head to his right to face her. With his eyes squinted and in a sleepy tone of voice he murmured out to her, "Ugly whore."

"WHAT?!"

You internally face palmed your forehead but held onto the brink of your nose and shook your head in disapproval since this would result in a beating for him one after another.

Lady Tsunade and Kakashi Sensei let out a small sigh as they watched Naruto desperately try to plead his way out of the situation until Sakura grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, wrangled him and then punched him on the head.

"Maybe that will teach him something," muttered Tsunade under her breath with her arms crossed over her chest.

*Timeskip*

Later than evening, you and Naruto were with Kakashi Sensei in a secluded area with various trees surrounding the outskirts of the area with the faint sound of birds chirping off in the sky.

"So what does our training involve?" You asked with Naruto standing right beside you waiting for Kakashi Sensei to begin with the instructions but you heard a small chuckle escaped Naruto's lips.

"What's so funny?" Asked Kakashi Sensei with a raised brow.

"It's just that it's been so long since (Y/n) and I have trained with you but for some reason, I feel good about this training."

"You may feel that way but time isn't going to stop for us, it's going to continue ticking away until we create this new jutsu for the two of you that could surpass the Rasengan. But you will have to know two techniques in order to do it which are how to change the chakra nature and how to change its form."

"Huh? I don't understand what all of that is but okay let's do it!" exclaimed Naruto, creating a fist with his right hand while pounding it to the left palm of his hand.

"By creating the Rasengan, you've already mastered the change in chakra form. Compressing your chakra into a sphere and making it spin like crazy is a change in form."

"All right!" Yelled out Naruto in an ecstatic tone and had given you a high five but regained his composure when Kakashi Sensei had cleared his throat to gain his attention.

"Second, we'll have to see what your chakra natures are and we will determine that with this." Between his index and middle finger, were beige slips of paper and he handed the two of us only one slip.

"And how?" You asked while waving the squared sheet of paper around in front of you with the tip of your fingers.

With his slip still in hand, it immediately wrinkled up. "If you have a lightning nature, it will wrinkle up. If you have wind nature, it tears. A Fire nature will make it burn. A water nature, the paper becomes wet. Lastly, an earth nature will crumble away."

You motioned your hand in a circular motion to make him speed up and get to the point.

"Just let your chakra flow into that paper and we will see what nature you two have."

We nodded our heads and held the paper in the tip of our fingertips. You concentrated your chakra solely on that paper and zoned out everything around you. The flow of your chakra had begun making its way towards the palm of your hands and you could feel it slowly build up. Five seconds had gone by and you heard a small tear, like the sound of a clean cut of paper from a notebook.

Looking over at Naruto you saw that his paper had a tear but his eyes were glued onto your paper rather than his with a surprised look. You finally looked down and saw that you had a tear too.

"Guess were the same then huh Naruto."

"That means more time to train together and learn the same jutsu and... more time to be with you," he said with a cheeky smile at the end.

Kakashi raised his brow at Naruto's words and brought your attention back to him by saying, "Also working individually with me. There are times when you two will work together but also times when you won't."

"But we both have the same chakra nature so we should be able to work together right?" Asked Naruto with slight hope in his eyes.

"Well yes, but that's unless (Y/n) wants to see if she has another chakra nature."

"Sure." You went on over and grabbed another paper from Kakashi Sensei's hand, excited to see if you did have another chakra nature.

"HEY! How come (Y/n) is allowed to see if she has another chakra nature but I can't!" Exclaimed Naruto with his hands curled up into fists.

"Because I know for a fact she'll have another one while you won't. She's capable, you're not," he stated.

Naruto ended up deflating on the spot at his words and mumbled a "just because she's your favorite" and "she's capable you're not" in a mocking tone under his breath.

"Oh come on naruto, we all know I'm everyone's favorite" you said in a playful tone.

Little did you know, you were their favorites and every other guys.

You had stepped away from them to concentrate your chakra on the paper. Rather than having it at the palm of your hands, you tried a different approach. You held the paper between your fingers and let your chakra flow once more. Once it did, you could see a flame disintegrate the paper into small ashes.

"The paper burned," you yelled out towards them while throwing away the bits of ash that were in your hand.

"Not bad. You could probably use the other three natures with the help of your Saigagan but I'll let you figure that out on your own," he said with a closed eye smile.

"Gee thanks oh great Sensei."

"Well then," he clasped his hands together and continued on," now that you know your chakra natures, let's get to work. It's just going to get difficult from here on out."

"Right!" We both yelled out in unison, with a spark of determination in our eyes.
