The day I thought of dying,

I remember I looked up at the sky

As if it was the first time

As if I'd never been fully alive,

Ironically, before that day

And everything was still,

Laying in the pale sunrise

Just like me.

The day I thought of dying,

I dreamt about you

Not as usual,

Not holding back my tears,

Or hoping in everything that could make me ache

The day I thought of dying,

I looked up at you

And you just stand there,

Right before my eyes

Filling the empty blue sky,

Eyes spreaded with honey and sun

The streets surrounding us were silent, and freezing cold

But I remember the warmth,

And your voice,

And your smile

I remember the insane beauty, of that moment

I remember the happiness,

Fragile like liquid gold

And the echo,

As minutes flew by,

Of your absence.

The day I thought of dying,

I tried to make some sounds of my voice

Innocents and floating,

Back to when I used to whisper the name of my brother

In the middle of the night,

Wondering if he was still awake

And we could make up new stories,

Trying so hard to believe

In each other voice

Laughing,

In the sadness,

The fear and the youth

We used to forget.

The day I thought of dying,

My mother called, a few times

I didn't answer

And the only white clouds in the sky,

Reminded me of that long walk the two of us had

Some average afternoon
