A day or two after Aether and the others went away to search for the Lyre, (Y/N) visited the tavern. She ordered a Mint and Berry Burst, and sat down on the second floor. She waited to see if they would come that night, or if she would just have a quiet night with a good drink as her only company. The girl took a sip of the refreshing alcohol-free beverage and thought.

The company of others really do make me more open. I might even miss Aether and Paimon... she shook away the thought. I've always been on my own, now's not the time to be pairing up. I'm like a hawk, thinking that it might be good to fly with others. No way, we wouldn't end up on the good side. We would fly the wrong way and blame the other for it. Thinking about it makes me sure...

So why won't I accept it?

The door opened down on the bottom floor and brought the red girl back to reality, when she heard a voice she knew all too well...

"Did you hear from Diluc?" it was Donna, the girl who had a big crush at the owner of Dawn Winery.

"He was at Dawn Winery, fixing something with that traveler..." oh.

Should I find them? Help them out a bit? No, you were the one to say that you would not help. Endure your own recklessness.

She had no time to think as she heard something.

".../N)...!"

What was that? It sounded...

".../N)!"

Was it... No, surely not...

"(Y/N)!"

Yep. 100% Aether calling her name,

"I'm on my way." she whispered.

"Let the stars pass by

Our hearts will never lie

Oh, the moon so white

Will give the path light

To our passion and trust

Hope and must

We meet each again?"

she disappeared into the shadows only to walk out from darkness behind the boy with the braid.

He yelped as he felt a light tap on his shoulder.

"Yes?" the girl smiled. Her eyes then widened as she saw the view in front of her.

"Starsnatch Cliff? Why on Teyvat are we here?"

"Dvalin, he..." she heard from the edge of the cliff. She ran up to the bard sitting there, with despair in his eyes.

"Are you okay?" he tried to smile.

"Tell me last time you were happy." her eyes widened and she kept quiet.

"Do you know if I'm okay now?"

"Tell me what I can do for you."

"He thought... that I abandoned him..."

"You didn't. You set him free. You made sure he would decide for himself, not be a blind follower, doing whatever you said. You did the right thing, trust me."

"But what if... I won't be able to tell him that..."

"You will. I'll make sure of that. I will help, now that I have m'been called. It is my duty to protect everyone who saw Dvalin and you, and make sure that nobody gets hurt. I will use my Vision and Khorne if needed."

"Don't use them... It will be fine... Without them..."

"I will use them if you are in danger. We will get them back."

"Thank you..." Venti stood up and went to talk to Jean and Diluc about being Barbatos.

"So, despite the fact that you seem to despise him, you really care for him?" she turned to Aether.

"I've known him since he was... no matter, even if he is just a little brat, he still needs to survive. A Nation built with a god needs it. If the god were to disappear, the magic in the Nation would too. I won't let a city fall because the lack of a god, especially if the god is weak anyway."

"So, you care about him?"

"..."

"Thought so." he smiled. (Y/N) looked over to the god who seemed to have recovered.

"That stupid Bard-Batos..."

"Oh, Paimon made a new nickname! He is now officially Tone-Deaf Bard!" Paimon said happily as she pulled a bit of (h/c) locks.

"I must say that's a pretty good name."

"Right??" the fairy-like girl smiled cheekily.

"So, what's next?"

"Probably finding Dvalin first..."

"Oh, well that was a good idea, didn't think of it." (Y/N) said ironically.

"Yeah, yeah." they walked to Diluc and Jean, who talked with Venti.

"Can it still be played? Or does it need to be repaired?" the red-head asked Venti.

"Ugh... unfortunately", I think it's beyond repaired..."

"Dvalin is in a lot of danger." Aether cut in, earning a small nod from the other three.

"You're right. If we don't fight the evil at its source, then we can't save Dvalin at all." Diluc responded.

"In which case I shall call upon Outrider Amber to track it down..." Jean started.

"No need."

"Why is that?"

"I eradicated one not long ago, in one of the for Wind's temples." That was what happened, Diluc?

"What?! When...?"

"If you want to track those monsters down, then I'll seek answers from my contacts. I've got other means for getting the job done."

"I should say that's impressive..." (Y/N) gave him a few claps.

"Oh, you sound so caring all of a sudden, (Y/N). Why is that?" Venti teased.

"Oh, be quiet."

"You're just like a proud mum, huh?"

"Didn't I just tell you to shut that hole in your face?"

"Whatever you say, mum~." the girl with (h/c) hair sighed,

"Wait for my word." Diluc ignored what Venti just said. "I'll be sure to let the Abyss Order know that their blatant disregard for Mond... will not go unpunished." he finished.

.

.

.

"Did he just leave without any other word?" Venti asked.

"I'm afraid I also have to go." Jean said.

"Aww, will (Y/N) and Aether listen to me play here then?"

"I have enough. Aether, Paimon, what Nation do you want food from today?"

"Ohhh, Paimon knows! What about Sumeru?"

"Dinner will be served ten minutes after arrival at home."

"Yay!!" Paimon looked as if she was ready to do acrobatics over the cliff.

"See you...

Tone-Deaf Bard."

No, (Y/N) does not see every person she knows as her kid...

OK... Maybe just a little bit...

So, here it is! I know it turned out short and weird, but I really didn't know how to write this chapter

Hope you enjoyed at least!
