What to do next...
(Y/N) walked the streets of Mondstadt and looked around. There were no cookies left to sell and she didn't have the time to bad new ones. There was nothing which needed to be taken care of and no chores. The very morning the girl ad switched all the sheets, dusted off every corner of her little home and brought all the things she needed. After that she had sold the cookies, baked another batch and lastly she had sold the new ones too. Why did everyone need cookies today? She sighed and was about to take a stroll in the Whispering Woods when she thought of something.
What if she helped everyone? She nodded to herself and turned back just by the city's exit and decided that the Knights of Favonious HQ was the best place to start. She walked through the crowd by the fountain and went up the stairs, past the windmill and finally reached the Head Quarter of the Knights of Favonious. She went inside and knocked on a random door.
"Come in." she heard from the other side, and it wasn't until she had stepped into the room she understood what it was.
It was the Cavalry Captain's office.
"Oh? You're that cake seller, aren't you? What can I do for you?"
"Umm... I want to help... With anything..."
"Anything, you say?" the knight mused to himself. "How rude of me. My name is Kaeya, I'm the Cavalry Captain. Who are you, fair maiden?" he smirked, waiting for her reaction. She did seem like an innocent young girl, but something about her wasn't right... she barely talked and seemed shy, but there was something weird with her behavior, as if she was trying to hide something. Kaeya had met Sucrose before, the Head Alchemist's assistant, and sure, she was timid and shy, but not in this way. This shy way... it just seemed like a fake-persona.
"I am (Y-(Y/N). I would like to help the knights, if you would let me..."
"May I ask you why? I'm not sure we can repay you in the best way."
"I don't want any repayment. I want to help."
"I'm sorry for being rude, but could you specify why?"
"Ehe, that's kind of weird why... I didn't have anything better to do, so I thought that I could help."
"I see." was that really why though?
"Oh no, I am interrupting, a-aren't I?" could you agree, lost city boy?'
"Not at all. There is a few things I need, but they're all so small hings that I can by myself."
"Please, allow me."
"Alright then. Let's start with the ruin-problem. Close to one of the four winds' temple, there's a Ruin Guard that has bee bothering the adventurers that come to the area. Do you think you could see it done?"
"I'll be back soon." she said confident.
"I'll be waiting here." the girl waved good bye to the Captain and left the room.
"Let's see how she localize the right temple... this will be interesting..." the blue-haired man muttered with a smug face, leaving to follow the girl in red.
(Y/N) had decided to go to the tavern and try to ignore the boy who was stalking her. She wanted to hear from the adventurers where they think the Ruin Guard is. She entered Angels' Share and went up to the bartender.
"I'm sorry, but did you give any of the people here an alcohol free drink?" she asked Charles.
"Huh? No, the least alcoholic drink I've served today was the one to the Adventurers Guild Branch Master Cyrus, e might be close to sober. I take you want no drink?"
"No thank you, but thanks for the information. I'll head to him right away." the bartender nodded and (Y/N) left.
Smart tactic. Since it's a normal question about an adventure, it doesn't bring up any suspicion or needs to be discrete. Also, asking someone who is less drunk, you get out more information and more of it is true. Let's see how she handles the conversation though...
"I'm sorry, you're Cyrus, right?"
"Huh? Yes, that's me. And you are, young lady?"
"Just a visitor ho wants to ask about your adventures. I heard of a great monster close to a temple of wind. Have you heard of it, too?"
"Aye, that's a good story! I went up to the temple of the falcon, and there was a great monster, like a Ruin Guard but bigger, and stronger! I heard a child cry, so I rushed over to the lil' thing and got her away from the monster. But when I came back, no such thing was there!"
"You say you outran such a powerful monster while keeping an eye on a child too? That is such a good deed. Now, if you excuse me, I have too leave. I am a little busy."
"Feel free to come see me if ye ever become curious!" the slightly drunk Branch Master said as she left the tavern. Next stop: the cathedral.
"Excuse me sister, have you heard of a great monster by the temple of the falcon lately?" the young girl said and waited for her answer. The sister thought as she tried to ignore the music in the cathedral to think clearly.
"That's right, a big powerful monster that has been around the temple of the falcon lately. The adventurers who come to heal here always talk about it, how they never manage to defeat it, neither find it twice. It goes by "the One-time monster"."
"Thank you very much sister, I hope Barbatos find a protector to clear Falcon Temple."
"May the God of Anemo bless your curious soul."
"Let the wind lead." they said good bye to one another.
"It seems that the temple of the falcon is the right temple... the Branch Master and the sister said the same dangerous monster by the temple of the falcon who no one meets twice... Let's head there then." (Y/N) said when she had left the cathedral. Behind her was a tanned man with blue hair, and she knew that fully well.
She found reliable sources', but will she really defeat the "One-time monster"?
By the temple of the falcon nothing was found, but as (Y/N) walked away a bit, she heard weird noises. Something sounding like a Ruin Guard... She approached the sound and saw a monster, a normal Ruin Guard in fact.
Of course, a drunk traveler and people who like to brag made a chicken out of a feather. It is what I expected.
(Y/N) took up her majestic scythe, shining in the sun of the late day. Her hair was shining and the red dress made it all look like a picture from a fairy tale, right when the heroine is about to attack. She readied herself, took a fighting stance and jumped behind the Guard when it didn't expect it. She hit it in the eye, making it go black for a few seconds. She knew that Kaeya was watching her, so she didn't use her vision as help. She slashed it a couple of times, before it completely fell to the ground. She waited a bit away, but nothing moved. Then she went up to make sure, she saw a chaos core inside the eye of the Ruin Guard. She took it out and examined it. Completely untouched, no damages. A perfect proof to the Cavalry captain that the ruin guard was taken care of. Why would a baker have a chaos core after all?
Further away, a surprised and shocked man stood there, looking at the girl. All her movements were so smooth, she moved fast and easy, and she looked completely divine. He had figured that she knew where he was from by the way she seemed to know that he was watching, always with her back turned to him, as if not to blow his cover. And how she looked at him as if his very genetics were familiar...
Did they share home?
No matter, the Captain noticed another thing too when he watched her.
He had fallen head over heels for her.
Ha, how'd you like that?
The third love scenario I've made!
If u didn't notice, this takes place before Aether comes to the city, and Kaeya pretended to not know who she was when Amber introduced them
I feel bad for not giving you all many love scenarios, so I backed a city
Hope you enjoyed~
