"Many gods used to walk this earth, and many long wars were fought between them that did not abate until 2,000 years ago. Much blood was shed, and many lives were lost. In the end, only seven victors remained in Teyvat." (Y/N) gritted as the Tianquan only said 'seven'. "They built cities and nations on the corpses of the vanquished, and thus began the era of the seven. There is a much non logical rumor about a eight god too, but that is only used as a fairy tale to frighten young children."

"Why is it not logical?" Aether asked, he had never heard anyone say it like that.

"You see, if you look at the map in Teyvat, there is no obvious place where the nation would have been, and all records of that god are gone except from a few diaries we found. There is of course many stories about this god, but they are all suited as if she was an enemy to beware of, not a god to worship. Have you heard about her more?" Aether hesitantly shook his head even though he had heard a bit from that story teller and maybe from (Y/N) too, if that god was the leader of the hometown she had spoken of.

"The eight god is the god of misfortune and destruction, the Blood Archon. Her name... is Saphielis. She once had a nation that turned to dust as attackers from another nation attacked. But the records are very vague and we cannot bring any sense to it. From the folklore, she is said to have had a hard hold on her citizens while in the records from diaries and a few notes it says her nation was called the nation of peace and equality - that she thought every mortal needed to be treated fair and equally. I don't know which one to believe, but if it is the ones about a nice nation that are true, all I wonder is why on earth would those stories about her being terrible go on and on, forth and forth, until they are basically nightmares. That is why the whole existence of her is non logical."

"Back to the era of the seven. You see Guyun stone forest over there, in the ocean? It is no natural rock, but one of the spears that Rex Lapis threw to attack the enemies during war. Beneath the spear lie those who were unable to claim the title as Archon, the defeated gods. Many a time has the seven changed, new seats and old seats are mixed up. Gods die, and that Rex Lapis did is of course a disaster, but the order of the Seven will not fall for that. Another reason why the eight god is non logic, without replacing her with a new eight god the structure will fall, but it hasn't. And as Rex Lapis will have much honor in his after life, we have no worries that the Seven's will honor our mourning and keep the structure stable. A new Geo Lord will sooner or later rise, but when that time comes we will not have forgotten about Rex Lapis."

"Why hide the Exuvia then?" Aether finally asked.

"Heh... that day at Yujing Terrace - it was all so very sudden. Even I was caught off guard, you were there so you saw it. But our enemy has long lain hidden within the harbor. If we do not act against hem now, they will surely gain the upper hand. Hiding the Exuvia was a necessary maneuver to take the initiative back, to play the spider while our foes scurry about."

"Who's this enemy you're talking about?" Paimon asked with child like innocence.

"What do you think, travelers?" finally she acknowledged both Aether and (Y/N).

"It's 'him', isn't it?" the male traveler said with a grudge in his voice.

"That's right. That is why I never trusted him." (Y/N) knitted her eyebrows.

"Eh? What are you all talking about?" Paimon asked confused.

"Well answered." Ningguang replied, and although (Y/N) did not trust her power play, she felt herself like how they left Paimon completely in the dark.

"...huh?!" yep. The kid understood nothing, nada, none.

"The scenery here is indeed nice, but the wind is a little strong. Our preparations to receive guests within are complete - so please, this way." and thus she guided them inside the Jade Chamber.

The sight they met was a huge hall which Paimon immediately fawned over, made in dark wood with white walls decorated with dark wood. a dark blue rug welcomed them and some light pink branches in white antique vases made the whole place a little lighter and happier. In the middle of everything, a spiral staircase went down to the floor below, and over it hovered a gigantic lantern like lamp, shining bright and soft yellow. Royal blue banners hung from the lamp and up towards the roof and gave the place a majestic feeling to it. The hall was circle formed and around the walls more of the pink flowers in antique white vases were placed, and in the opposite side of the hall there was one of those famous Liyue stern draperies with painted yellow sunrises over one of the mountains of Liyue with beautiful trees in a gray green color made from the sun casting its painted rays. By the draperies, a man stood, taking notes about what to do and what had to be taken care of. Most likely one of the business men working there.

Down the stairs, The most eye catching room was the room you looked at when the staircase ended, the main room where Ningguang worked. It was with furniture in the same dark wood as the wall decorations and the floors, with windows with beautiful patterns casting pretty shadows, and some small lanterns on poles around the wall just to light up late at night. A few cupboards made the room less empty, but the prettiest sight to (Y/N) was by the end of the room. A long dark table with a few documents in neat stacks, other trinkets like ink and pencils, and behind it, a dark wooden chair with pale green gray stuffing and on the wall behind the same color on a pretty and detailed fabric painting, with simply just patterns on it. Along the wall with the green paintings, a few empty vases stood old and elegant, and if you took a closer look you could see the ever so famous board with all the documents Ningguang had against the right wall.

And said woman waited in front of the table.

Finally.

I had absolutely no idea what to write, so I just made a spot on chapter. I hope it wasn't too weird and right-in-the-moment-nothing.

Hope you enjoyed~!
