She heard steps once again.
What was it with this girl and knowing each step of each person?
She turned around, the dirty white rocks on the ground making tap sounds as boots with the smallest of heels came running towards her. She saw a sight she really liked, a sight that belonged there.
Aether came running into the ruins, now a little cleaned up, and Paimon floated just beside him. His golden braid flowed behind him in the sea breeze and the salty air stung his throat as he ran. But he was all too surprised to care of anything around him except the city and the red girl he had as a goal to reach.
The walls of water around him had just became bigger and unfolded a big city, the city his friend had talked so often about. He had finally came close enough to the now known god, and rested with his hands on his knees, taking deep and exhausted breaths.
"Hello Aether. Might I introduce you to Amicitia, or are you here for another reason?" (Y/N) looked at him, her red eye no longer hid from the public.
"Zhongli..." he said between his breaths. "... Told... me." he stood up straight, a hand on his chest as his voice sounded hoarse. Had he been running far? Possibly, the way from Liyue to the Amicitia ruins was a fifteen minute walk, and running was about seven minutes. And he was probably not just by the harbor when his running began.
"Ah. And why did you come to me? His retirement as a god doesn't have much to do with me, albeit the stable business of Liyue."
"Yes, but...." he had finally regained all of his breath. "He told me to go here and tell you that he was officially a mortal without any power, his Gnosis is gone and he hoped I'd walk these streets with you, but with fresh stones."
The red girl smiled.
"Fresh stones? That man has a complicated way to say hi and good luck." she then turned to Khorne, who watched how some volunteers from the Knights of Favonious and Millelith guards along with a few of the Qixing's members helping out by carrying debris away, and not far away Ningguang herself stood looking over a few building plans, talking with Cara about the costs and how to improve the buildings without a rise in costs. Osial stood talking with the female sailor (Y/N) had seen before, a woman who had introduced herself as Beidou, and wanted to talk about how to not get any problems with fishing and such by the sudden hole in the sea. The ocean god himself had promised her that he would make fish currents go to places close to the harbor, and that the old fishing systems used when Amicitia stood ground would still work.
Medeis had gotten back and lifted a few fallen pillars and big debris away with her veins, and caused the red hot pulsating magic to crush the parts of the junk that wasn't needed or could be recycled. All the while, she ordered around a few foxes about how to help transporting the wood used for building.
The red girl herself was about to try making the first wall of glass, which would be used in a new technique of building houses for plants. She heated up the sand with the help of a girl's fire, Yanfei was her name, who had just came to help out wit the rules and possibilities as a lawyer. She had a Pyro Vision, and hence could help with the glass. She had promised that every time she brought someone to live in the city, they'd owe her.
Aether finally agreed to follow on a tour, but the red girl told him as the city had been and how she would make it. Most regular houses she simply said they'd become citizen residents, but she always had a story to tell about each house, as if she could see the white rocks and wooden houses. She pointed out where she had first met Cara, one of the guardians, she pointed out a place where she had first eaten sunsettia cookies, she pointed out where she had trained her scythe with a couple of soldiers. She pointed out where she got to know Medeis, a place still in the ocean, and pointed out a broken big tree where she had bound Khorne to the scythe Aeternus had became. She pointed out which part of the House had been what kind of room, where Alis had became a big bird after she had taken a shot from a malicious hunter who aimed at a child, and pointed where she had first met Osial. Then she went over to the constructions.
By the plaza the House was in progress, slowly using red bricks to build surrounding walls. The place in which Osial would stay in was built in glass walls, or at least that was the plan. At the moment, the only progress made was a couple of tree pillars which framed the place where Osial would fill water within like an aquarium and live. He had already chosen his favorite water and kept it close to him, so whenever (Y/N) wanted to talk to him, she'd have to get past the huge water bubble behind him.
In the middle of the tour, someone came past the road from Inazuma.
"I thought the Shogun had sealed the exits and refused to let people get to Amicitia too..." the red girl muttered and approached the new visitor. It was a small boy about the same age as Dusky Ming, the ghost girl they had met. He looked around the town, and seemed to be searching until the newly announced Archon came up to him.
"Can I help you, child?" she asked, her red eye reflecting the ocean waves located close by the road to Inazuma. By the time, new white rocks had been placed there by the 'killed' lord of contracts.
"Do you know the god of Equality?" he asked. He was dressed in a big straw hat and blue clothes, Inazuma style. The red girl stood there, surprised by the name the kid called out.
"... God of Equality? You mean Saphielis?" he nodded. "Ah. Mostly, she is known by other names but old times still remember that, do they? That is me, child. Who are you?"
"I was told to go over here, because you rule a city with Blood and honesty. That's what they said at least!" the kid cheered. It was a happy soul, but nevertheless (Y/N) knitted her brows.
"They? Dear, do you know how... alive you are?"
"I'm a ghost." the kid said, looking up at the red girl with big eyes. "I'm Ruu!" he said. (Y/N) wore a small smile on her lips.
"Then, Ruu, why did they tell you to go here?"
"They said that I should go live here when the sacrifice was made, and now it is!" Ruu smiled.
"Ruu, I can give you a place at the House of lost children. Although that is the name of the House, not many children are lost. We make them feel home. Would you like that?" Ruu nodded. "Then welcome to the new city of Blood, Amicitia."
That day continued with more building, showing Ruu around and finishing the tour with Aether and Paimon.
The first lost child had entered Amicitia.
Yahhoooooooo
Ok so I know the part with Ruu kind of turned out to be... weird. But he made a blood sacrifice, right? Fitting pretty well I think.
Hope you enjoyed~!
