The next day Espresso still didn't feel so good. So he decided he would stay the day with Madeline.

He woke up around lunch time and was still tired as hell. He sat up and shivered. Since when was it so cold in the house? He got up as his legs wobbled. He walked towards the kitchen to see Madeline sitting at the table to the right on his phone.

Madeline looked up and saw Espresso standing there. He gave him a bright smile and a small wave.

Espresso didn't do much in response. He just sort of stood there and gave Madeline a small smile.

"You feeling alright?" Madeline asked.

Espresso sat there and glared at him. It was pretty obvious that his legs were shaking, and so was the rest of his body.

It took Madeline a moment to realize.

"Oh my god Espresso go lay down!" Madeline put his phone down and rushed over to Espresso. He held Espresso's hand and guided him to his bed. Espresso lied down and tried to get comfortable.

It felt impossible though. Everything felt shaky in his body and everything felt awful. Madeline came back with a bowl of soup and put it to the side on the night stand.

Madeline pulled out the thermometer. "Here, put this in your mouth. I need to take your temperature." Madeline said as he handed the thermometer to Espresso.

"Yeah yeah I know how a thermometer works." And with that he put it under his tongue to the very back.

The thermometer started to beep and Madeline took the thermometer out from his mouth.

"Jeez 102, that's a fever." Madeline said softly as he wiped the thermometer off.
"I'd suggest you'd stay with me for the time being. I'm sure Latte will be busy and who knows was Raspberry does."

Espresso nodded and lied back down. "This is awful..I feel all weird and shaky..." Espresso mumbled.

"Well that's no good hm..I'm sure you'll feel a bit better if you ate something." Madeline gestured to the bowl of soup on the night stand.

Espresso brought the bowl to his lap and ate a bit. It did help just a bit. Not by very much though.

Luckily he felt much warmer which made most of the hard shaking stop. "Thanks Madeline." Espresso said as he took another bite of his soup.

"My pleasure." Madeline said with a small smile.

Madeline texted Latte that Espresso still wasn't feeling well and said that he was at his place so she wouldn't worry like yesterday.

He put his phone down and sat with Espresso who was pretty comfortable by that point.

"How are you feeling now? A little better?" Madeline asked he lied down with Espresso.

"Mhm..a bit better.." Espresso said. He grabbed a bit of Madeline's and started to play with it again.

Madeline didn't mind and let him continue on. It was something to keep his mind off of his sick body.

After a while of quietly talking and being relaxed, Madeline's door slammed open.

Latte: "WHERE IS HE-oh hi Espresso! I was just coming to check up on you!"

Espresso: "Well that was quiet the entrance don't you think? The last thing I want to hear is everything that just happened involving you."

Latte scoffed and sat down with the two. She talked with them. Surprisingly being pretty quiet as well.

The day sort of went like this and Espresso went to sleep. The next day he felt okay enough to get up.
