Dad! Emmet AU: Gidget Crewe

(I already did a dad Ingo Au, figured why not Emmet?)

Backstory: Gidget was born in the slums of Nimbasa to an inattentive Mother and absent father, She was mainly taken care of by her grandmother before she passed away when she was 5, Gidget was forced to grow up and take care of herself at very young age, She grew up watching her mom bring random men around the house. 

To which Gidget was locked in her room or outside the house for hours until the men left or mom remembered she was there. Sometimes these men would leave random things behind like Potions, berries, Pokéballs, Gidget got her hands on some and hid them from her mom, one day when her mom had another friend over, she told Gidget to get lost...

So the little girl got lost.... and didn't come back! for weeks Gidget wandered around Nimbasa by herself, she caught her first Pokémon! a Shiny Joltik she named Jolly, she would used Jolly in battles to get money and buy sandwiches and drinks from the Gear stations vending machines, It wasn't long before Ingo, Emmet and the station attendants started noticing her presence... It set off some red flags! Especially for the staff members who were parents, they called the cops for help numerous times, but Gidget always gave them the slip.

One day Emmet saw her battling in the park across the street, the subway boss noted her battle tactics were sloppy at best, But the girl had moxie and the potential to be great trainer, She kind of reminded Emmet of himself when he was a kid, It was then Emmet decided he wanted to talk to her and teach her how to battle properly. but... Whenever Emmet got too close Gidget would flee, So he tried a different approach.

Emmet would accidentally leave things at the park for Gidget to find, like food for her and Jolly, clothes, a backpack, a new hat, etc. He started taking his lunch breaks in the park, Gidget would start sitting with him, she wouldn't speak to him at first as the little girl was very wary of adults, but she slowly warmed up to Emmet, she even started accepting the lunches he brought her.

One day she surprised him, when she showed up with a new Pokémon! ...A Goomy she named Gooey, Needless to say Emmet was confused since Goomy weren't native to Unova, he asked the little girl where she had gotten Gooey from? And Gidget suddenly got scared and avoided the question... Which set off some alarms in Emmet's head.

Then one day Gidget didn't show up to lunch like she usually did, Emmet got worried and went looking for her, He heard yelling in one of the alleys, he peeked in and found Gidget being cornered and roughed up by two men who were wanted Pokémon smugglers, demanding she hand over her Joltik and the Goomy she'd stolen (more like rescued) from them.

Emmet wasn't going to sit back and let that slide, he interrupted their little shake down and showed the smugglers just how a subway boss deals with little pests like them... From there Gidget's life would take a turn for the better, as Emmet started seriously looking into adopting her.
