Subway boss Emmet x [F] Reader: Awkward beginnings.

How Emmet and his S/o met, You before you worked at the Grind Station as a barista, You were just starting out as a TA at Nimbasa elementary school. You were on a train having just moved from (made up or Canon Town) to Nimbasa city, your shiny Skitty Mortimer was/is a little escape artist and had been found by Emmet who makes a announcement on the PA.

Attention passengers, This is Subway boss Emmet Trevithick, with an announcement. A little orange Skitty has made his way up into the battle car, Can his Trainer please come and retrieve him? Thank you.

Your eyes widened in shock and looked at the sling carrier strapped to your side, sure enough, that little jerk had figured out how work the zippers and escaped! Your face felt hot as the other passengers watched you make your way to the battle car, You found Emmet with Mortimer sitting in his lap the subway boss was petting him.

"So, this little fellow is yours, hm?"

"Um, y-yes Mr Trevithick, sir."

"I am Emmet, none of that Sir business."

"I'm sorry si- (the conductor cocked a brow) Emmet, thank you for catching Mortimer, I took my eyes off him for a second."

"No apologies needed miss, It happens." You awkwardly thank him and took Mortimer from him only to get blindsided when a man barged into the battle car asking how much you wanted for Mortimer?!?! You told him "Nothing, cos he's not for trade or sale!" the man was pushy going on tirade on how rare male Skittys were, and a shiny male Skitty was a walking goldmine!

You told the guy to bugger off! and Mortimer wasn't going anywhere with him! The man tried to grab your Pokémon! but, got stopped by Emmet who had scary smile on his face and told the man if wants your Skitty so badly, then he'll have have to go through him first.

Yeah the cocky dumbass was sure he'd win, Because "I know all those stories about you and your brother is just a load of Spoikwash, cos if you were really as strong as they say, then you'd be champion or apart of the elite four by now!" He spat taking out a Pokéball, Emmet just smiled and told you to stay behind him and enjoy the show...

Long story short, You were in awe as you watched Emmet wipe the floor with the would-be thief, the dude was actually crying, as he vowed revenge and fled the battle with his tail between his legs, a few seconds later You and Emmet broke into a giggle fit at the absurdity from the whole situation.

Afterwards Emmet offered to escort you back to your seat and keep an eye out in case the man who accosted you, didn't bring any friends along; and to make sure the jerk didn't try anything when you were getting off, You gave Emmet your number if he ever wanted to talk, and assumed that was that. Neither of you realizing that you'll both be seeing a lot of each other very soon.
