Gargoyle! Emmet x Reader.

{Gargoyle au: Ingo and Emmet rush to the Nimbasa amusement park where some thugs have taken the Ferris wheel hostage, to the brother's relief they find I-S/o and Elesa in the crowd of worried onlookers, but Emmet noticed someone was missing.]

Emmet: Where's E-S/o?

I-S/o:.....

Emmet: I-S/o where is-

Elesa: Emm-..

{His attention is soon turned towards the jumbotron behind them and Emmet felt his heart sink into his feet when he sees his S/o and small child being held hostage on the very top of the Ferris wheel, E-S/o seemed to be calmly talking with the thug who was getting more and more agitated, before anyone could get the situation back under control again, the thug suddenly lost his grip on the kid who fell off the wheel!

E-S/o didn't hesitate they dove off after the kid, Everyone screamed in horror thinking they were about to see two deaths happen before their eyes! when suddenly this white blur shot up out of the crowd and in to sky like a rocket!

The crowd below gasped as the white blur turned out to be Emmet! The gargoyle caught E-S/o and the kid in his arms and quickly made his way back down to earth towards the silent crowd and his even more stunned brother!

For context, Emmet can't fly like Ingo, he can glide, but he can't fly! there was an incident when they were children, it was so traumatizing that it gave Emmet a very serious fear of heights, the mere notion of leaving solid ground could send him into a panic attack!

Emmet carefully landed in front of the stunned crowd, his ears were ringing as he looked up at the Ferris Wheel with an unreadable expression... If it weren't for the two passengers in his arms Emmet would've fallen on his ass, he was so shocked at what he managed to pull off!

Few moments later the silence was broken by officer Jenny and some paramedics cautiously approaching him, on instinct Emmet tried to keep them from his S/o and the child. but Elesa managed talk him down, reluctantly Emmet handed his S/o off to the paramedic and the kid was returned to his frantic mother, Then Ingo and I-S/o ran up to Emmet excitedly.

Ingo: Emmet! I'm so proud of you! (Hugs his little brother.) You flew brother! You flew!

I-S/o: How did you do it?

Emmet: I-I dunno I just...(swallows) I saw E-S/o falling everything just stopped! and then it was like a switch went off in my brain....A-And a voice kept screaming at me to catch them! Next thing I knew I was in the air!....

I-S/o, she hugs Emmet: Well thank goodness you listened!

Ingo: How did it feel?

Emmet: It felt brisk, liberating almost exhilarating...And I never wanna do it again!

[pause]

Ingo, patting Emmet on the back: That's fair.

Emmet: Can we see E-S/o now? I want to make sure their ok before I pass out.

I-S/o: Yeah, let's go see them.

{They start to walk towards the ambulance E-S/o was taken to when Ingo notes, Emmet's wing were still up.]

Ingo: Um, You can put your wings down now, Em.

Emmet, tries and winces: I can't.... they're stuck!
