Soulmate body switch au: Emmet ver. [fem reader]

Emmet was confused when he woke up that morning and he didn't see the inside of a tent, but instead the ceiling of of an a unfamiliar bedroom... *where am I, was I kidnapped?...where's Ingo?!* he thought as he quietly jumped out of bed cautiously looking around for his and Pokémon, he eye surveyed the room taking in the the plushies and décor, Emmet deduced he was in a girl's room, but how did he get here? seeing movement out of the corner of is eye Emmet saw a girl in Mareep pajamas with y/hl, Y/hc hair and y/ec eyes staring back at him confused. Emmet started walking toward her only to *bonk* walk straight into a mirror... "What the?" the boy hissed in pain and looked back at the mirror realizing the girl was mimicking his movements farther baffling Emmet.

"What is this?" he moaned rubbing his forehead when a noise caused him turned back to the bed, Emmet's brow furrowed when he saw big yellow eyes watching him from under the blanket. "Hello?" he called as a Pokémon Emmet's never seen before crawled out from the blanket, it was bat-like and purple and had absurdly large ears. "Noibat..." the Pokémon cooed tiredly while holding it's arms out to Emmet who just awkwardly stared at it...

Bad move, cos as soon as he failed to pick up the little bat, it's eyes started tearing up before the soul switched boy could even calm him down Noibat let out this ear piercing screech which woke up the whole house!

The bedroom door swung open and an adult who looked similar to to girl who Emmet soul switched with groggily walked in. "Y/n...Control your Pokémon or I'll-...." they noticed 'Y/n' curled in a shivering ball covering her ears while tearfully gawking confused at her crying Noibat... It took them a moment realize that wasn't your normal reaction to Radar crying, after settling things down your guardian(s) sat Emmet down and explained his situation to him.

"So...this Soul-switching is normal?"

"As long as you got a soulmate, yes. It is normal, a little strange the first time around, but you get used to it."

And *pokes at him/yourself* will we be alright after we get back to normal?"

"If your worried about side effects, the worst thing that could happen is one of you dies while switched."

After the Q&A your guardian just told Emmet to ride it out and try and get used to being in your body for a while as this will keep happening until you guys meet, and thus Emmet took the time to learn a few tidbits about you while also spending time with your Noibat, which he noted was your only Pokémon, Emmet asked if he could go outside and try capture a few more for you?

Your guardian allowed it but told him not to wander too far out from the Pokémon Nursery as the area wasn't really safe (Wild area) they handed Emmet a few quick-balls and told him to stay in the front yard, Emmet's jaw dropped when he saw the 'Front yard.' He had a bit of a fanboy moment when he saw the large railway bridge adjacent to the area, before setting off to explore.

the front yard was actually an untamed forest and fieldlands abundant with wild Pokémon! However after an hour Emmet understood why your guardian had told him to stay close the Dayc-er, Nursery, this place was unbelievable! Sunny one second, than snowing the next! And Emmet swore he saw a sandstorm raging on across the bridge! When he finally came back to the Nursery, it was night time.

Emmet was exhausted and only managed to catch two Pokémon an Applin and a weird looking Corsola, after eating Dinner he thanked your guardian for looking after him and went to bed, excited to tell his brother about all the things he saw! The next day you were confused to find two new Pokémon in your bed hogging the blankets and a note from your soulmate, with his name and address written down, you saved both to your Rotom phone went to greet your new partners.
