Soulmate au: Subway boss Ingo x reader

Soulmate au: A red string linking you to your soulmate appears on your ring finger on your 15th birthday! or at least it's supposed to! Ingo never got his for some reason... But, fate works in mysterious ways, and today was one of those fated days.

Ingo tried to hide his disappointment as he watched his brother chat up his soulmate, Don't get Ingo wrong he's happy Emmet found his soulmate, but the jealousy was there, Y'know? And it made Ingo feel gross, it was gross that he was jealous of his little brother for having a soulmate, while he'll be alone forever, At least that what Ingo thought as he walked away from the lovey-dovey couple and went to check if any trainers had made a battle reservation with the single lines?

Lucky there were a few, they managed to keep Ingo's mind occupied and focused on his job rather then his lack of companionship, Ingo had just finished with a last call battle, before his shift ended for the night, the trainer pouted as they left the battle car mumbling about training and getting him next time, Ingo was looking forward to it. This trainer did give Ingo a run for his money after all, it actually looked like the subway boss was going to lose for a second there, before Ingo made a mad comeback, all in all? It was a pretty entertaining battle!

Ingo was writing on a clipboard checking the battle car's damaged interior for what needed to be repaired, while on it's way back to the station, he was humming a random tune; lost in his own world. Until the battle car's lights started flickering, Ingo didn't think anything of it, assuming the wiring or the fixtures got damaged during one of his battles. He went to add that to the list of repairs, when the train suddenly lost all power, causing it to dead break!

Ingo was knocked off his feet from the sudden stop and seconds later the train was bathed in darkness; save for the red-orange glow of the tunnel's safety lights, then as quickly as it started there was a pop followed by a low buzzing hum, the lights flickered on as the train slowly came back to life and started moving again, Ingo sighed in relief. He was worried he was going to have to walk all the way back to the main station, which was almost an hour away on foot!

Ingo was going to pull himself up off the floor when he noticed he lost his pen... he sighed in frustration and went to look for it, when out of the corner of his eye, Ingo saw a fleck of red on his finger, at first he thought his pen broke and he was seeing ink... but then he saw the red trailed far away from his hand! Ingo heart began to speed up as he realized it was a string...he had a string! But then that meant!! His eyes followed the sting path it was leading him to the next car...

That mean his soulmate was... Ingo sluggishly pulled himself off the floor and almost robotically made his way towards the door, the older Trevithick twin was shaking as he hesitantly reached for the handle, part of him was terrified that this all dream! and he hit his head when he fell over, and was just laying unconscious on the battle car floor, but the other half... Swallowing hard Ingo took a deep breath opened the door and cautiously looked around the seemingly car before, his eyes found where the string was leading him the one he's been wanting to meet for a long time.

You were there, it looked like you were sleeping at first, as Ingo got closer he noticed something was off. He got closer noticed the blood and bruises on your face, and your lips were almost blue! He also noticed your clothes looked wet... Ingo rushed over to you and started doing a safety check and he was alarmed at how cold you felt when he checked your pulse, you were alive! but just verrry cold... he noticed the white slush melting on your clothes and hair, he cautiously picked some of it off your shoulder and realized it was...

"Snow?" Ingo's brows furrowed as he watched the snow melt away in his hands. This doesn't make any sense, how can you be covered in snow? It was the middle of summer! Ingo didn't have long to dwell on it as you started to come to. "um... Are you okay?" Ingo winced hearing his voice crack., You on the other didn't seem to noticed as your eyes looked around frantically. "Where is this?" You rasped panicking, Ingo tried to calm you and said were in Nimbasa on the subway. "w-What?" Your breathing suddenly got more frantic as the subway boss tried keep you calm, but you passed out again falling out of your seat, Ingo caught you.
