"I thought we're going to meet the attorney at his office," Aera said when the car entered the basement of Seokjin's law firm building.

"Here is the safest place to meet him. I don't want your father to find out about this meeting. It could bring harm to both of you," Seokjin explained to her as Aera nodded at the lawyer.

The bodyguards quickly opened the door for both passengers before Seokjin and Aera walked into the building and headed to the office. Tania, Seokjin's secretary, was already waiting for him at the entrance, greeting both with her sweet smile.

"Ahnyeonghaseyo, Kim Byeonhosanim," she bowed to the lawyer.

"Ahnyeong, Tania. What is my schedule for today?"

"You have a meeting with Choi Byeonhosanim at 9, and you are free for lunch," she paused before she glanced at the girl standing next to the lawyer.

"Your girlfriend is so pretty, Byeonhosanim. Ahnyeonghaseyo, I'm Tania," she introduced herself to Aera before bowing to her. Seokjin just smiled while listening to his secretary. Aera chuckled as she tried to hold back her laughter.

"Ahnyeong. I'm Han Aera. Do you think that we look good as a couple?" She asked as she winked at the secretary before glancing at Seokjin and circling her hands around the latter's arm. The lawyer looked at her amused while blushing, his ears reddening visibly.

"Yes, you are."

"But unfortunately, I have to admit to you that Miss Han is not my girlfriend. She's just a very good friend of mine."

"Too sad that he has put me in the friend zone," Aera pouted and giggled, loving to tease the lawyer as his ears were getting redder than it was before.

"I guess both of you are very good friends," Tania assumed as Seokjin nodded at her.

"Would you like to have some tea while waiting for Choi Byeonhosanim, Miss Han?" Seokjin asked, smiling sweetly at Aera.

"Sure, why not?"

"I'll bring the drinks to you right away," Tania said and left to head to the pantry.

"After you, Miss Han," Seokjin gestured for her to enter his office after he opened the door for her like a gentleman.

They shared cups of warm jasmine tea and a pleasant conversation while waiting for the other attorney to arrive. Aera took the chance to dig for more information from Seokjin about the affray between Han Si Woo and Namjoon's late father that caused her evil, so-called father to kill the other clan leader.

"Kim Byeonhosanim, your guest, is here," said the secretary through the intercom, interrupting their exchange.

"Please escort him in," Seokjin instructed, looking at a nervous Aera.

"Are you ready to meet him, Miss Han?" She nodded, but he could clearly discern the uncertainty on her face.

"Don't worry. Remember, he was your mother's most trusted lawyer, as you told me. But if anything happens, I'm here to protect you at all costs," he reassured her. When Tania knocked on the door, he stood from the couch, and Aera followed suit.

"Ahnyeong, Choi Byeonhosanim. It is nice to meet you again," Seokjin greeted the lawyer with a broad, sincere smile.

"Ahnyeong hasimnikka, Sunbaenim." The younger lawyer stepped closer and bowed deeply to his senior before standing straight to look at the daughter of late Han Myung Hee.

"Miss Han, finally, I get the chance to meet you again. It has been quite a while." He deeply bowed to Aera.

"It surely has been, Choi Byeonhosanim," Aera smiled at the man she remembered from his meetings with her mother.
