Derek was stabbed two days ago and is getting discharged later. "When I leave you are to stay with your mother and Amelia I mean it" I say.

"I will love don't you worry" he says holding my hand.

"You're not okay" I say.

"I'm okay Meredith I just hate knives even more" he says.

"Derek don't hold back" I beg.

"I won't hold back, I'm telling you the truth" he says.

"Okay" I sigh.

"Come lay next to me" he says moving over.

I slowly climb into bed with him and he wraps his arms around me. "Take a nap you're tired, stop worrying" he whispers into my ear and I soon fall asleep.

"Derek, Meredith, time to wake up" I hear Carolyn's soft voice and I feel a hand on my shoulder shaking me gently.

I slowly open my eyes. "Derek's getting discharged in thirty minutes" she smiles softly.

"Hm okay" I smile and look over to see him still asleep.

"Derek, baby time to wake up" I say.

"Hm, what?" He asks stretching.

"It's time to wake up" I repeat.

"Okay" he says.

I kiss his head before sitting up. "Where do you think you're going" he says pulling me back down.

"Derek" I laugh as he peppers kissing all over my face.

"What I'm just kissing my fiance" he smiles.

"Do you ever think I'm too young?" I ask out of the blue.

"What do you mean?" he asks drawing circles on my stomach with his finger.

"Like do you think I'm too young to be engaged to be getting married soon to have your kids?" I ask looking and him.

He just smiles.

"Why are you smiling?" I ask frowning as I look to see Carolyn smiling too.

"What's so funny?" I ask annoyed crossing my arms over my chest.

"No Meredith you might be nineteen but you're very mature and honestly I thought you were going to ask if you were too young to date me" he says softly moving my hair out of my face kissing my lips softly.

"Maybe I am too young for you, go find a women your own age" I say dramatically turning my head away.

"Hm you're funny" he says.

"Oh yeah?" I ask.

"Yeah" he nods.

I hold my hand with the ring infront of his face and start to slowly slip it off.

"Or maybe just delusional" he says stopping my and slipping the ring back into my finger.

"I find that offensive, I am not delusional" I pout.

"Yes you are" he chuckles.

"How am I delusional?" I ask sitting up and looking at him and Carolyn.

"What kind of women threatens to give her ring back to Derek Shepherd?" he asks.

"Uh, this kind" I say pointing to myself.

"Exactly the delusional kind" he says.

"I'm not delusional and you have to go home and I have to go back to college" I say getting off the bed and grabbing the wheelchair for him.

"I have to sit in that thing?" He says with a disgusted face pointing at it.

"Yep and I'm going to push you" I smile.

"No, Ma take it away she is plotting my death" he says.

"I'm not going to take it away from my soon to be daughter in-law" Carolyn says holding her hands up.

"You're stealing my mother away from me" he pouts.

"Sorry you grew up as a mamas boy" I shrug.

"I did and it got me here until I decided to put a ring on your finger" he rolls his eyes.

"Oh shut up you are happy you put a ring on my finger" I say.

"I'm starting to rethink my life decisions" he sighs.

"Get your ass in the chair Derek Christopher Shepherd" I say.

"Jeez since when did you turn into Ma" he mumbles as Carolyn and I help him into the wheelchair.

"Since I learn your middle name" I smile.

"That was a long time ago" he frowns.

"It is what it is" I say as he signs discharge papers.

"I hate you" he says as we leave the hospital room.

"I love you too sweetheart, even if you're a drama queen" I smile kissing the top of his head as we leave the hospital.

"I am not a drama queen" he says offended.

"You are" Carolyn and I say at the same time causing us all to laugh.

I love this man so so much and I will never stop.
