You thought that she could have fallen headfirst on the asphalt when she jumped out of the car, or worse,  could have slipped and fallen under the wheels of the car when she jumped.

She could have lost , she's just a kid!

A child who walked alone,  in a torrential rain, just because your ego is even higher than the safety of your own child!

I know I have no justification for what happened between us in the past, but...

Why didn't you let the little one see me? Why ? Why?

Laura, who up until that moment listened to Massimo in silence, even if the tears were constantly flowing down her cheeks:

Laura: (shouting and punching Massimo in the chest) Enough!!

How dare you talk to me like that?

How dare you even insinuate that I am not a responsible parent?

What do you know about being a parent? You know nothing ! You heard me nothing!

Don't you have the slightest idea what I've been living through all these years?

In a fraction of a second, Massimo hits with his hand one of the decoration objects that was on a small table to his left.

The decorative object falls to the floor, broken, but one of the shards ricochets in Massimo's left hand, causing a cut.

At the moment when Massimo's hand starts to bleed, Olga screams, Laura starts to cry even louder, and Domenico goes to Don, wanting to help him, but he is stopped by him who shouts that he is fine!

Massimo turns his gaze to Laura  again.

Massimo: I'm also human, I have feelings. I can't see Maya crying.

I simply can't. I feel that..

I know you don't want to stay in Sicily because of me.

I'm leaving, you have my word, that tomorrow morning you won't find me here.

But please , please don't take Maya away!

Laura screaming and hitting Massimo's chest with all her strength.

Laura: Dammit, Massimo! You didn't understand anything I said earlier!
