Beautiful like a rose 🌹 but... fragile like a bomb 💣

A smile that  says more than 1,000 words.

After that smile, Massimo turned his gaze again to the little girl standing in front of him, and opened his arms wide.

Maya wraps her little hands around Massimo's neck, hugging him tightly.
For a few minutes, they stayed like that in silence.

There was silence in the room, an oppressive silence.

Laura looked with tears in her eyes at the hug that the most important people in her life offered to each other, and in those moments everything that happened in these last 5 years unfolded in front of her eyes.

She remembered all the decisions she made under the influence of impulse, and a question obsessively appeared in her mind:

How would it have been if?

How would her life have been is she had made others decisions, if she had the strength to fight the pain, the guilt, the fear?

Could the relationship between her and Massimo have been saved?

Could she have forgiven him for what happened that cursed night?

Could they have relearned to live, to smile, to hope again?

Is love really stronger even than death itself?

A million unanswered questions were running through Laura's mind at those moments, and the only one who could give her the answers she so desperately needs is none other than Massimo.

In contrast to the storm that had unleashed in Laura's mind and soul, Massimo felt like the luckiest man on earth.

After all these years of suffering, remorse, pain, helplessness and hatred.

Years in which he survived ,  not live, it was as if he had come back to life.

He couldn't explain how, but this little angel had managed to do all this.

From the first second she looked at him, with her adorable face and blue eyes like the sea, she managed without even realizing it to banish all the pain he  had collected in his soul for so many years.

Little Maya's hugs definitely had a touch of magic, because they had managed to collect the Pieces of his heart, stick them together and make it beat harder than it had ever beat before.

And this time too , hugging the little girl made Massimo's heart beat faster.

But after a few minutes, Massimo realized that, something was wrong!

Maya hugged him as if with more strength, and her heartbeat could be heard more and more strongly.

Massimo: (worried ) My miracle , is everything alright?

Massimo waited for a few seconds for an answer, but he only heard sobs coming from the little girl's chest.

Massimo turns his gaze to Laura who, the moment she looked into Massimo's eyes, understood that something had happened, at which point she headed towards the place where the two were.

When Laura realizes that Maya is sobbing , Laura looks at Massimo, trying to find out what happened, but immediately realizes that he is just as confused as she is.

Laura: (putting her hand on the little girl's shoulder) Maya, baby what happened?

Just like in Massimo's case , Laura also encounters the same silence from the little one.

Laura: Let's go Baby, come with mommy!

It is already very late.

You should have been in bed long ago!

It's time for you to get some sleep !

You need to rest!

It was a long and difficult day and you are tired.
