Maya: Massimo I don't want to go! I want to stay here with you!

Maya: I promise to be nice! Please convince mommy not to take me away! Please!

Massimo feels his heart break into a thousand pieces when he hears the little girl's plea.

He hugs her to his chest and whispers in her ear, trying to calm her:

Massimo: My miracle, I promise you that no one will ever force you to do something you don't want!

Massimo: I beg you, stop crying!

Massimo: Mommy didn't want to raise her voice!

Massimo; We actually called you here because Carlo wants to ask you some questions about what happened with Alessandro!

Massimo: But if you're tired, we can postpone the discussion until tomorrow.

Hearing what Massimo said, little Maya immediately wipes away her tears.

Maya to Massimo: It's okay, I'm not tired!

Maya: How is Alessandro feeling?

Carlo intervenes in the discussion between Massimo and Maya.

Carlo: Young Miss Biell, Alessandro is fine and as far as I can tell, the fact that Alessandro is fine now is because of you.

Carlo: May I ask you a few questions about what happened?

Maya: (taking a serious look) Of course, doctor, but I would like you to call me Maya, my family and friends call me Maya and you are Massimo's friend, so you can call me Maya.

The little one's words make those present smile.

Carlo: How about we make a deal? If I call you Maya,  then need you call me Carlo.

Little Maya looks up at Massimo, looking for approval in his eyes.

Massimo nods approvingly, and Maya turns her gaze back to Carlo.

Maya: ( smiling ) Agreed, Carlo!

Carlo: Maya, can you tell me what happened with Alessandro?

Little Maya very seriously explains everything that happened to Carlo in detail.

About he moment the car was about to hit her, Alessandro jumped in front of the car, managing to push her from the front of the car, protecting her from the impact, but he did not manage to withdraw in time, his left leg remaining- stuck under the car.

Carlo: Maya, I would like to know how you knew how to help him?

Maya: I like watching medical documentaries.  I learned some basic things from there.

Maya; For example, I know that in the case of an injury of any kind, it is important that the injured person remains conscious, especially if it is a head injury.

Maya; In the present case Alessandro did not lose consciousness at any time.

Maya: I made sure to talk to him constantly and also asked him control questions like: "what is his name?" , "how old is he?", "if he can tell me how he got hurt?" to make sure that it is not only conscious but also coherent, and he answered all the questions correctly and without hesitations.

Maya: But at some point when I checked his pulse, I noticed that it was getting weaker and weaker and in addition his body temperature started to rise.

Maya: That's when I realized he was starting to become hemodynamically unstable.

Maya: The bleeding was getting heavier and heavier.

Maya: Then I realized that his situation was getting worse, so I used the station and told uncle Domenico that he had to come urgently, because Alessandro's condition got worse.
