Terano Minami wasn't your typical japanese girl, being half-brazillian and having been raised in Brazil till she was 14, and she attracted a lot of looks from both guys and girls especially because she was always wearing something red no matter the occasion.

"Minami, sweetheart, what do you want for your birthday?" Terano Hyori, Minami's grandma, asked her granddaughter

"Anything is fine" Minami answered because she really would be okay with anything

"Would you mind if we planned a party for it? It will be a good way to present you to our friends and also for you to make friends" Terano Tatsuya, Minami's grandfather, asked and Minami inclined a bit her head thinking before answering

"I would like that, I haven't made a lot of friends yet" Minami accepted and her grandparents smiled at her before leaving her to her own devices

"Red really is your color, Minami!"

"Thanks, grandma."

"Your parents would be proud of you for sure, darling"

"I hope so, grandpa"

The party had started and everyone had been welcoming despite Minami noticing that some didn't really like her because of how tall she was and the tattoos on her body.

She didn't give much thought about it and tried to enjoy the party her grandparents prepared for her, even if it was quite boring since she wasn't close to anyone else beside her grandparents.

"Minami, darling, come here!" Tatsuya called her and Minami went to where her grandparents were with a woman and a young man

"What do you need, avô?" Minami asked once she was beside them

"We want you to meet your father's childhood friend and her son" Hyori said pointing to the other two

"Nice to meet you, I'm Terano Minami but you can call me South" Minami said bowing slightly to them

"It's a pleasure to meet you too. I'm Imaushi Irina and his is my son Wakasa" the woman said smiling kindly but years in Brazil made it easy for Minami to notice the disgust in Irina's stare

"Yoh!" Wakasa said receiving a glare from his mother

"I think we will get along pretty well, bonito" Minami said to Wakasa

"Bonito?" Wakasa said raising an eyebrow at that

"Why won't you two get to take a bit of fresh air and get to know each other?" Hyori asked happy that her granddaughter had found someone who interested her

"Of course" Wakasa agreed

"As you say, grandma" Minami said before the two teens left to one of the balconies

"Ugh, I hate this type of parties" Wakasa said leaning into the wall

"I can't say much since this is my first time in one" Minami hummed

"Really? I would love to not have to go to any more of them but my mother forces me to do it" Wakasa sighed and Minami looked curiously to him

"Can't you just get a job and move out? Like, if she tries to force you to go to these parties you just tell her you have something important happening the next day in your job or if it is a weekend that your boss or coworker invited you to eat out and it is an opportunity to ascend in your job" Minami said and Wakasa looked at her before she facepalms himself
