Ghosts.

Akashi Haruchiyo was able to see them all his life but only realized it when he saw the ghost of his mother right after she died in a car accident on her way to pick him and Senju from school.

He wasn't scared when he realized that but maybe that was because he never had many friends beside Baji, Mikey and Emma but those ghosts were always there even if some weren't good ones.

Sanzu did mention once about this ability to Takeomi but the older man told him to stop lying so Sanzu never told anyone about it.

His plan was to keep it like that until the day he died but ghosts had the best gossip ever and Sanzu could for sure enjoy teasing some people.

Sanzu looked in front of him not knowing how to react. He knew it was his mother but she was floating and he could see through her.

"Mom?" he mumbled and she looked at him with tears in her eyes which confused him

"Haruchiyo-kun, Senju-chan!" the school's principal called him and his sister "Please come with me" he added and the two confused siblings did it

After the talk that happened in the principal's office, Sanzu finally understood why mot- no his mother's ghost was crying. She had died on her way to pick them up and now he couldn't decide if being able to see her was a curse or gift.

"Take-nii!

*growls* "What do you want, Haruchiyo?"

*bits his lip* "Why can I still see mom?"

"..."

*glares at Sanzu* "Stop lying to get attention!" *leaves*

"...Why does Take-nii treats me like that but spoils Sen? Did I do something wrong, mom?"

"You did nothing wrong, my dear, just continue being true to yourself" *tries to hug Sanzu even if she knows it is impossible*

*tries to smile* "Okay"

"Oh..." Sanzu mumbled he saw a ghost appear in the living room of the small apartment he had gotten thanks to his work as a medium despite just being a little kid

"Haruchiyo?" the ghost said confused

"Shin-nii" Sanzu said not sure about how he should feel knowing that the one person he considered the best brother he ever could get was dead

"You can see me?" Shinichiro asked and Haruchiyo gave him a sad smile and pointed to where his mom was knitting something

"Welcome, darling, I'm Akashi Masako" the female ghost said and Shinichiro bowed since he never really met his childhood friend's mother

"But what are you doing here? Mom came to me because at the time her biggest worry were her kids being waiting for her but we haven't talked in a very long time" Sanzu hummed and Shinichiro winced

"I wanted to apologise for what happened that day" Shinichiro mumbled and Sanzu sighed

"It's not your fault, there is more to the story but I prefer to forget about it" Sanzu said and Shinichiro nodded at that "And don't worry I will keep an eye on your siblings" Shinichiro looked surprised at him before smiling softly
