Zhariah's POV

I was in the middle of my lecture when I received a message from Thaleia saying she needs me in her office ASAP. It was by then when I felt something was wrong about her message.

Mabilis akong nagpaalam sa mga estudyante ko and hurriedly went out of the room.

Madrigal.

My brows knitted consequently. She didn't attend my class today kahit na alam niyang first day ngayon. I began worrying to her earlier yet I'll just find her sitting here?

I scrupled whether if I should approach her or just pretend that I didn't see her. She's really good in making me question my actions lately. I found her being difficult when it comes to me but when she's around to my co-instructors, especially to Venize, she's so convenient. I don't know if it's just because Venize is her friend's older sister or there's something more about it.

"What are you doing here? You're supposedly sitting in my class as of the moment" I said after I decided to attain for her.

She didn't answer so I called for her name sternly. "Ms. Everlee Roz Madrigal, I am talking to you" I repeated but to no use. I shut my eyes in frustration.

Mula sa likuran niya ay lumipat ako ng pwesto sa harapan niya but to my surprise, her eyes were closed as two earpiece were on her ears. I shuffled closer to her, iniiwasan kong lumikha ng kahit na anumang ingay para hindi siya magising.

I intently studied her face in a breeze. She looks so peaceful when sleeping, eminently different from her attitude. When I noticed a strand of hair that fell to her face, I thought of removing it. Inilapit ko ang kamay ko sa maliit niyang mukha at marahan kong tinanggal ang piraso ng buhok na yun but she tightly took a grip on my wrist unexpectedly which startled me right away.

"What are you doing, miss?" she inquired instantly but I rolled my eyes once I heard her called me "Miss" again. Pangalawang beses ko na siyang tuturuan this academic year but she's still calling me that.

"I caught you sleeping here when in fact you're supposed in my class right now" tugon ko kaya binitawan na niya ako. Her eyes fidgeted which I assumed caused by nervousness.

"I'm late so I thought it would be rude if I barged in in your class this tardily" sagot niya habang nakatingin sa pader. I calculated her reaction and I could sense that she's being mendacious.

"Is that so or you're just avoiding me because of the last time?" I asked, raising my left brow.

She immediately stood up and she's obviously jittering. I smirked to myself, tama ang hinala ko. My guts never failed me.

"What?! Of course not. Hindi ko naman sinasadyang gawin yun kaya bakit kita iiwasan? That's a purely accident" pagalit niyang untag.

"You're too defensive, Roz. I was just playing around" nakangisi kong sambit. It was too satisfying to see her like this.

"Stop making fun of me, miss" she retorted, irritation was evident on her voice.

I just looked at her blankly as she was throwing daggers at me. She hooked up her knapsack from the floor before wearing it on one arm.
