"Sis, they're already outside. Ano sunduin ko na ba sila?" tanong ni Gavin.

"Sige na. Kaya na namin dito" sagot ko habang nakatingin sa repleksyon niya sa salamin.

"Alright. Good luck, baby sis. You can do this" he cheered me before kissing me on my cheek.

An hour left before the event begins yet my nerves gone wild beforehand. Tonight will happen the most anticipating coronation for the next Binibining Pilipinas. We've been preparing on this day for months and there's no way this night could ruin by anyone or anything. Not anymore.

Gazing at my reflection on this half-sized mirror, I couldn't help but reminisce the first time I joined in pageantry. I almost got the crown but I think some things really meant to happen that unfortunate day yet I was still grateful that I got the chance to join in it. That was also the start of my real journey in that university. I have met lots of people who are now part of my life.

"Ms. Avika, nagpapatawag nang maikling meeting yung organizer bago magstart ang pageant. Gusto mo ba magpa-iwan yung isa sa'min para samahan ka rito?" one of my make-up artists inquired.

"Ah no need. I think everything's settled naman so ayos na ko rito, thanks" I replied to her with a smile.

The five of them nodded their heads before heading out of my dressing room. Nang maiwan na ako mag-isa ay saka lang ako tumayo at kinuha yung phone ko sa bag. My shoulder flag in disappointment knowing that I've been occupied since last night yet I hadn't received any messages from Thaleia since this morning. Nakakatampo.

I began overthinking things again when the door flew open as a gorgeous woman wearing a royal blue slitted dress walked in. She was wearing this playful smile while making her way toward me.

"Thaleia, what are you doing here? This is a private area and you're not allowed to go here" nanlalaki ang mga mata na sinalubong ko siya.

"I don't care. I miss you" she said pouting before pulling me into a hug. Her scent abruptly penetrated inside my nostrils. Ganoon pa rin ang ginagamit niyang pabango but her natural scent is still my favorite.

Magrereklamo pa sana ako pero dahil namiss ko na rin siya ay niyakap ko na lang siya pabalik.

"They might disqualify me when they see you here" I said, rolling my eyes upon her.

Hindi niya inintindi ang sinabi ko at marahan akong itinulak pahiga sa sofa. My mouth hung open in surprise.

Marahan siyang pumatong sa ibabaw ko kaya doon na ako nagpanic, "Thaleia, stop. Are you being serious??"

"Kiss lang" she replied like a baby.

"No. Don't be so stubborn. We can't do that here. Hindi pa nga nagsstart yung event oh" pagmamatigas ko. I know my lipstick is smudge proof but still I don't want to do that here.

She made a vague expression before cursing under her breath. I bit my lower lip in regret kaso hindi pwede rito.

Tinulungan niya akong makaupo nang maayos bago siya tumabi sa'kin. Nawala na ang ngiti nito at napalitan ng simangot.

"Thaleia, I'm sorry. Nag-aalala lang ako na baka may makakita sa'yo rito"

She let out a deep breath before plastering another smile, "It's fine. I understand. I'm sorry too, I just miss you. I haven't seen you for a week"
