LAN ZHAN AND WEI YING'S ETERNAL DESTINY BOOK2

CHAPTER 14

" Lan Zhan... I'm sorry about everything" Lan Zhan was about to go to the bathroom when Wei Ying said that, then he immediately stopped and turned around. " Wei Ying...I don't blame you for anything, we were given a huge responsibility and we might be older but our bodies are still young, so... I think...I think it would be best if we don't do anything that might be uncomfortable for our bodies now. And you don't have to force yourself to be comfortable with me around, you're not obligated to be mine and me yours. But I have one question to ask..."

Wei Ying was so sad when he heard Lan Zhan say those things, he didn't think of it the way Lan Zhan had put it, and he thought that Lan Zhan was right about everything. He was feeling as if he was letting Lan Zhan down by not loving him the way Lan Zhan loved him, he thought that because they were chosen to be a couple then he should be what Lan Zhan wanted him to be and do everything he wants. He became honest with himself, their bodies were still young to do any intimate activities but he thought Lan Zhan was wrong about that. He wasn't forcing himself to be in the same bed with Lan Zhan, he wasn't forcing himself to feel what he felt while he was touching himself and he definitely wasn't forcing himself when he was touching Lan Zhan the way he did. Those were his genuine feeling for him and  Lan Zhan chose to think otherwise and not trust him.

He didn't know what how to answer him so he kept quiet keeping his head low, and when he asked if he could ask him a question he quickly looked up and nodded once, waiting for the question. He didn't know that Lan Zhan wasn't  asking about their feelings for each other just like he thought he would instead Lan Zhan asked " why didn't you use your powers to heal your wounds? I thought you had spiritual power that was given to you by the Gods everytime after meditating for longer hours. I was not shown why and you also didn't use it on me after we were poisoned...why? " Wei Ying hanged his head again not knowing if he should answer or not and he knew Lan Zhan wouldn't force him, but he had an unknown feeling for Lan Zhan and he didn't want to break that. So...he answered ...

" The Gods took away my powers the day before my parents were killed several months ago, I had originally thought they would be returned once you gave me my golden core. But I was wrong. "  " But why were you living in the streets, wasn't there a relative you could stay with at the time?"  "Lan Zhan... I don't have a family, it was just me a'ma and a'pa that's all, I really do envy you because you have an older brother who loves you dearly. " He finished off with a smile and Lan Zhan was by now thinking about the path Wei Ying walked alone without his parents , his path was the most difficult path which was made like that by the Gods.

Silence took over the room once again and they sat there, waiting for something to wake them up from their sad thoughts. Lan Zhan was sad that Wei Ying had to live that kind of life and Wei Ying was sad that Lan Zhan doubted his feelings which were still unknown even to him. Yes...it was true that Wei Ying didn't trully open up to accept Lan Zhan but he had spent atleast half a day with him and got to know him even if he didn't know that much or Lan Zhan wasn't saying anything. What Lan Xichen had told him was enough for him to know a little bit about Lan Zhan and his he lives his life. He doubted if he would ever love Lan Zhan the way Lan Zhan loved him and he so show felt guilty for that. Lan Zhan stood up and and looked at the floor and said " I'm going to have a bath, please tell my brother to hang my clothes on  the screen outside the bathroom."

" Oh! Ok" Wei Ying said with sadness laced in his face, Lan Zhan saw that but still chose to walk away. It's not like he walked away leaving Wei Ying like that because he didn't care about his feelings, but it was because he wanted him to figure out his feeling for him. The rejection he felt from Wei Ying already hurt him so much and be tried his best to hide it and succeeded, but he succeeded hiding it from Wei Ying and not his brother.  Of course Lan Xichen had seen the moment their Lan Zhan started to feel it from Wei Ying during the core bonding and even though he didn't understand what it was Lan Zhan felt, he knew it had hurt him deeply. Wei Ying sat there with his mind thinking about so many things, those things included him and Lan Zhan and their bond as soulmates.

He was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't even notice Lan Xichen come in and stand beside him, by the time he noticed Lan Xichen he had already called Wei Ying a dozen times asking him where Lan Zhan was. He looked up at him and asked " Ah! I'm sorry Zewu Jun...what were you just saying?"  " Oh!... I was asking if Wanji is already taking a bath, are you alright?". " Oh! Yes he's taking a bath, and yes I'm alright. Thank you for caring Zewu Jun, you really know how to lessen my worries." Lan Xichen indeed had that effect in Wei Ying, everytime he looks at him he gets this feeling that makes him calm and he would instantly forget his worries. Lan Xichen smiled and he was relived that Wei Ying felt that way. " I'm happy you feel that wa– oh I just remembered...I forgot to ask uncle where you will be staying from now on. I think I need to go back before he sleeps. Tell Wanji I'll be back before bed time" oh! ok I will, ah! Zewu Jun I forgot to tell you, Lan Zhan said you should bring him som–" by that time Lan Xichen was already closing the door and he was in such a hurry that he didn't even hear what Wei Ying had just said. " Oh no! How is he going to get his clothes now ".
