This is a continuation of Eternal Destiny book1, this story will pick up from the last chapter on Book 1 and nothing will change. I will start from the end of the last chapter in book1 and I will still update twice a day or maybe 3 times and nothing...
The day of the ceremony came and the Gusu Lan clan held their gifting ceremony was successful as students surpassed their own capabilities in swords fighting and presenting their skills. They had to first do swords fight and then later they would show their talents, these telents had nithing to do with their studies but it was simply to see if the desciples had anything else they were interested in besides being cultivators. There were those who's talents were healing, playing music for rejuvenating the one's soul, fighting without the use of tools there were also those who showed talents in embroidery. It didn't matter what it was...as long as it was something one was good at, it was enough.
Lan Xichen had showed his skills and they were exceptional, he was the first one to trully master all the tasks and his sword moves. He came first in all upper class students and the elders were so proud, they were proud because he was going to be their future clan leader. The leader had to be capable of everything in the clan and outside, when dealing with spirits or enemies, when handling punishments and giving out rewards and compliments for those who did good deeds and not just in Gusu but outside aswell. There were praises and hands clapping by everyone who was present there and even those who were surpassed by him were proud and wanted to learn from him.

After finishing all that was required of him he stood infront of the elders in the main hall. It was huge and was only used for hosting huge events like that or sect meetings. It was so huge that it accommodated each and every clan and their trusted desciples. He stood infront of the elders and desciples, Lan Qiren came forward to represent himself as a father figure to Lan Xichen before their ancestors as it was time for the participants to be gifted. They had already gifted other desciples and studends and they wanted Lan Xichen and Lan Zhan to be last. Two elder also came forward to represent themselves as the oldest memmers of the clan and the gifting for Lan Xichen started.
The hall was silent that even if someone had to drop a needle it would be heard. They did that in every gifting ceremony to show respect to the ancestors and to listen if the ancestors had messages they wanted to bring across their clan members. A sound was heard in the hall and it was a flute sound, but sounded different, the flute sound was soft and comforting. It began to play louder and louder until the entire hall was filled with its melody. Lan Xichen felt like a force pulled him forward and he held out his hands, he was not in control over himself and what he was doing was the ancestors before them and even thought the couldn't see them, they felt them. When the sound stopped and Lan Xichen was pulled forward he with his hands held out, a light appeared..it was a bright yellow yellow light and it glowed and kept in glowing until something peeked out inside of it. It protruded out of the light until it landed on his hands. It was a flute and he bowed down and held it up to show his appreciation.
He was asked to give it a name and he said "Liebieng" then the crowds clapped but confused since he already had a flute with the name Liebieng. The elder asked why he chose the same name and he said " I do not change because of circumstances that are before me, I will not throw away the flute which gave itself to me only because I have found a new one. Nor will I take sides between two people who need my advice in their arguments when I'm a clan leader. I will take their words and keep them in my heart and not my mind, the heart doesn't take sides but it can respect the wishes better as long as it's not its own wishes. The mind will force a solution based in what it sees and hears and never because if what it feels, because it doesn't feel. Doing that will make one party leave unsatisfied with the judgement I gave, therefore...I will use my own opinion if their own leave one of them unsatisfied.

All in all...I will give my opinion in the matter and solve the matter together with them and if it doesn't work then I will enforce my judgement. So...just like my two Liebiengs I wish them to become one and for their spirits to combine to be one " The hall fell into complete silence after Lan Xichen gave his reasons. After waking up from their daze they all clapped their hands while giving out praises. Then the room fell silent again and the light infront of Lan Xichen expanded, Lan Xichen's old Liebieng came floating into the hall and the one which was gifted to Lan Xichen also slipped out of his hands and floated together with the old one. They moved around each other until they stood still, then right then...different melodies were heard from the flutes an it looked like they were talking to each other or testing their knowledge ...nobody knew.

T
he melody played for half an hour's while everyone watched in awe but silently. The light kept on expanding until it covered the whole two flutes while still playing different melodies until only one Meloy was heard. It was the most peaceful and comforting melody and then one flute emerged. Two flutes had become one as the light slowly condensed and the yellow light dissapeared. The flute which was floating landed in Lan Xichen's hands and he looked at it and started playing it. When he played, a blue and a white swirling lights came out of it, twirling together and endlessly until they dissapeared into the crowds. The two souls of the two Liebiengs had come together and moved together like soulmates who never separate and working together to serve their master's demands, together in just one flute. Then he stopped playing and looked at his uncle whose face was full of pride and smiles as he watched his nephews being too happy for his requests.
