CHAPTER 17

"Please give him time. He had a tough time already so please don't hurt him more or cast him aside cause it's really not his fault for things to be like this "  Lan Xichen said and Lan Zhan was looking straight into his eyes when he said those things, or perhaps reasons.

"Mn" and a nod was all Lan Zhan was best at when responding, but Lan Xichen was satisfied because he usually one of the two responses most of the time, and he was content for getting two of them at the same time which mean that Lan Zhan was indeed going to think things through regarding Wei Ying. "I think we should wait for Wei Ying to finish bathing before we sleep. I see there are two beds here, so I already told uncle I will be sleeping in his room since it also has two beds. I hope you don't mind?"  Lan Xichen had his fingers crossed when he asked the question and he was relieved when Lan Zhan nodded. " Ok that's set then, but Wanji, what do you think about Wei Ying living with uncle Jiang Fengmian? " " Xiongzhang...Wanji doesn't know, but..but...I don't think I have any say in the matter. It is up to Wei Ying to decide." Lan Xichen furrowed his eyebrows and said" why Wanji? Why do you think so?"

Lan Zhan had already been informed by the Gods that their path would be separated, he just didn't know it would be this soon. He was indeed worried and no matter how Wei Ying felt about him it never changed his love for him. He just didn't have a say because it was needed for them to come back stronger to start journey in saving humanity. He was somehow relived since Wei Ying provoked his feelings for him by making him feel things he never knew was possible to feel, he had this urge to grab Wei Ying and pin him down and do unspeakable things to him since the second he started touching him. So...he thought it was the best and he only wished the Jiang clna would treat Wei Ying right and not like a slave or hurt him more than he already was.

Wei Ying got out of the bathroom and went over to the brothers sitting by the table and cleared his throat "ghrghr...Zewu Jun...you're back?" " Oh yes Wei Ying I came back not so long ago, how are you feeling? Are your wounds better?" " Oh! Yes, the pain lessened the moment we...we..." " It's okay, I understand " Lan Xichen interrupted Wei Ying seeing that he was looking at Lan Zhan and somehow lost concerntration on what he was saying. He had already known what he wanted to say so he wanted him to know he understood. " Oh! Wei Ying, I'm going to sleep in uncle's room tonight. There's only two beds here and uncle sleeps alone and his room has two beds so it will be comfortable for everyone, and I have already spoken to Wanji about it so if you don't mind...." Lan Xichen was hunting at Wei Ying to say if he was uncomfortable sharing a room with only Lan Zhan. He didn't want to force them.

Lan Xichen became worried when he realised that Wei Ying wasn't even listening to him, he was looking at Lan Zhan and somehow lost in trance. When he turned around to look at Lan Zhan he saw that his eyes were lit blue, he was looking at Wei Ying and Wei Ying was looking at him and it looked as if their gaze cannot be broken even if one of them was to be shaken. Their eyes were like magnets connected to each other but not strong enough to crash them together, just close enough and far enough to attract each other. Lan Xichen looked back and forth at the two people infront of him and he saw how they were compatible with each other. They could feel each other's pain even from the time they  haven't met, they could heal each other completely , while other cultivators could only lessen the others discomfort but not completely heal them. The other thing he had just noticed was that they had feelings for each other,not just feelings, intimate feelings.

He couldn't say they had intimate feelings for each other at their age because their were old enough to do any sexual activities, just their bodies were still younger to avoid suspicions. They were already in their teenage years if we were to count their spiritual years. So he knew it was impossible to keep their urges in check. He didn't want to share a room with those soulmates because if he was to hear strange noises during the night then he would be too embarrassed to wake up in the morning. He looked once again, and he saw that they were in communication with each other, like Lan Zhan was telling Wei Ying something or maybe he was reading his mind or if he was having a promonition or something else. He didn't know, he just waited for them to finish.

Wei Ying released a breath like he was holding it for eternity as he slumped down to the chair an Lan Zhan's glowing blue eyes slowly dimmed and he took a deep breath like his lungs were empty of oxygen and trying to get it back again. Lan Xichen was looking back and forth at them trying to understand what had just happened , when they both became aware of their surroundings they saw that Lan Xichen was in confusion and Lan Zhan wanted to be the one to speak. " Xiongzhang...don't worry, we're alright. The Gods were telling us a message." " Oh yes, Zewu Jun they were telling us about my powe-" " Wei Ying!!" Lan Zhan stopped Wei Ying from desclosing more information. His tone of voice was hoarse and deep like a roar of thunder , like how one would imagine a God's voice when giving out a warning.

That was not because he didn't trust his brother, because he was the only person he trusted in the whole mortal realm.
The thing was...if words were to come out that Lan Zhan and Wei Ying were the chosen ones, his brother would definately be in danger, and he would be in more danger if he was to know about the things he and Wei Ying were talking about with the Gods. Lan Xichen had his own connection with the Gods and they had theirs which were about dangerous things and warnings. So he had to keep everything from him for his own safety.
