CHAPTER 37

No one knew of this spot only Wei Ying did because unfortunately that was not the first time he was told to sleep outside and Jiang Fengmian didn't have knowledge of those happenings.

Wei Ying slept on the tree outside in the small forest, he hadn't had anything to eat since lunchtime. He was cold and hungry and he didn't have any memory to console himslef, he had almost all his memory when he got sick from fever. Atleast that was what the healer saw but in reality, Wei Ying had broken his small intestine meridian, that affected his appetite,and he had digestion issues but the most problematic was the abdominal pain he constantly had to live with. He ate little portions of food and his weight problems since he ate so little which resulted in him being thinner than a he already was when he met Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen.

Nobody knew he was in pain since he hid it very well by using his smile and playfulness to hide it. Those were not the problem to heal but he couldn't heal himself because his golden core was now closed shut after forcefully opening it, his core power was already closed but since he forced the power out it rushed out like a lighting about to strike and during its rush it heated up his body. He managed to close it but the damage was too great to be fixed by then and even Lan Zhan's great spiritual power was not going to heal him no matter how much power he generates from his golden core. The only way to heal him completely was the only way he had wished for since he met Lan Zhan. To seal their core powers together, that would open up his golden core and his power to run freely like it should and regain all his powers.

But there was one problem, when he broke his small intestine meridian and the power rushed through his body, it made his body heat up like a furnace which resulted him to having fever, the bigger problem was that he had lost his memory due to the high fever and he had completely forgotten about Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen. He had completely forgotten about them rescuing him from the dogs and even the pleasure he felt from Lan Zhan that fatefull evening was like it never happened. If Wei Ying had forgotten about Lan Zhan then his was he going to get his powers back, that was the problem Wei Wei didn't have knowledge of. He only had a partial memory about his parents and that he was part of something big, but that was all .

He had no memory to hold onto while he slept outside during those lovely nights he only held the one he remembered dearly, which was him and his parents traveling somewhere while he was on a donkey and his parents walking by his side, joking and paying games all the way. But there was a twist to his memories, he remembered him and his parents arriving at Yungmeng and they booked him an Inn and told him to wait for them while they went to solve a problem with a ghost terrorising them and they asked his parents for help since they saw they were cultivators. He remembered that they did go but never came back, and that the check out time from the Inn was due and the Inn keeper three him out. He remembered that he didn't want to leave the city fearing that when his parents came back they wouldn't find him, and thus wondered the streets till he realise that his parents were not coming.

He thought Jiang Fengmian was the one who came to Yungmeng looking for him and found him eating dog food from the rotten leftovers of the Inn, and took him back to Lotus Cove and took care if him as he was his father's friend. His memory was very much twisted and there was no way of recollecting it to the way it was unless he learned to accept his soulmate and seal their bond and everything would be the way it should. He will remember that something big he was part of with whom he was supposed to be with all their lives. He fell asleep and when he was woken up by a bark nearby. He was scared if dogs and even knew it was because he stole their food and they bit him sometimes and he was traumatized by their barks.

He woke suddenly stretching his limbs and arms in panick, he had forgotten where he was when he fell from the tree onti the rocky ground crying as he felt the most excruciating pain in his hip and affected his abdominal pain. He laid there crying in pain and no the town was already busy at that time that no one heard him. He cried so hard that he started to hiccup, feeling helpless he tried to stand and walk but it was impossible to do so. He laid there and tears falling freely from his eyes as he heard people calling out his name from somewhere not very far from where he was. He tried to answer their call but no matter how hard he tried to raise his voice all was in vain. Then he passed out.

The calling came closer and closer until one desciple saw a small figure lying in the ground without making movement, he ran to him in panick while shouting to others that he had found him and they all went to him. Everyone in Lotus Cove had started to grow. Find if Wei Ying for his friendly and carefree nature and always putting other people's needs over his own. He always set out his day to help others before he did something that could make him happy, which was training hard in archery, studies and he even secretly trained with swords while no one was around. Jiang Cheng was the only person who knew of this except for some elders.

The elders always pushed him to do more and learn more so that he would grow stronger and leave Yungmeng, far away from madam Yu's jealousy. Jiang Cheng was still little to understand his mother's poison words and he really liked having a cultivation brother a smart as Wei Ying whom he looked up to. He wanted to be like him, as string as him, as clever as he was and likable like he was and that was one thing madam Yu hated the most. She would sometimes punish Wei Ying and told his that his son would never be his shadow that it was disrespectful to outsmart the future clan leader of Lotus Cove.

Sorry for the late update guys, I wasn't feeling well, I still am not but I couldn't let you wait. I know how frustrating it is to wait for an update and I don't want you to wait for mine.
