CHAPTER 71

Lan Zhan became so jealous while looking and listening to soulmate flirting around. 'first he thought he wasn't interested in men, but he just touched that boy in a way I I don't like, and now, he's flirting with that boy's sister..? That's really unacceptable.' he thought. He watched how Wen Qing went away with her brother following behind and looked at Wei Ying who was now getting curious about what Wen Qing was doing in the back mountain. He watched and followed him as he went to the direction Wen Qing came from and when he got there he saw Wei 6standing in a rock beside the waterfall.

He went to him without making any sound, he wasn't sneaking up on him, he was just too upset to talk to him. Wei Ying got alert and he unsheathed his sword and which Lan Zhan was quick to react to by unsheathing his own sword and blocking Wei Ying's. When Wei Ying turned around he saw that it was Lan Zhan and he smiled while sheathing his sword back to its scabbard and Lan Zhan did the same. " Oh!...Lan Zhan it's you?...I saw that lad–...hey Lan Zhan...what are you doing?" Lan Zhan cut him off before he could say anything that would upset him further and dragged him back to the Library Pavilion

No one was outside since it was study time and that made it easier for Lan Zhan to drag him all the way inside, sat him on a small chair behind the table, placed numerous books and scrolls infront of him. All that without saying even a single word to him. Wei Ying watched everything and didn't say anything until he was finished an went back to sit down. Wei Ying sighed and stood up going over to where Lan Zhan was and said " Lan-er-Gongzi...what's wrong, you haven't said a single word to me you just dragged me all the way here. If I did something to upset you the please forgive this fool huh.."

No matter how hard Wei Ying tried, Lan Zhan wouldn't speak to him. Wei saw thought maybe he was bothering him and backed away " Lan-er-Gongzi... I'm sorry I bothered you, it won't happen again" he then turned around and went to his chair and sat down and did part of his punishment, which was copying fifty Lan clan rules and read them. The whole process was going to take him almost three week and Lan Zhan had to be in there with him always to see if he did it correctly, and that was Lan Qiren's orders. Well...those orders were more than good for both Wei Ying and Lan Zhan.

Well..when was Lan Zhan going to get a chance to be with Wei Ying, just the two of them and learn about each other. Well...for  Wei Ying...well he was just too lazy to do the work but he just sat there and ran him eyes over the books, pretending to be reading when he was actually looking at the letters and nit necessarily reading the words. But Wei Ying was too smart, he has a photographic memory and by running his eyes like he was doing  he actually was recording everything in the book orderly. He finished for the day and he went over to bid goodbye to Lan Zhan, but Lan Zhan didn't answer. Infact... Lan Zhan had been reading books the whole time, he would throw a glance at Wei Ying once in a while to see if he was studying and copying.

When Lan Zhan didn't answer Wei Ying left the Library Pavilion with a sad face and a pouty mouth. When he got outside he saw that classes were out and Jiang Cheng and Nie Huisang were waiting for him outside. Jiang Cheng saw how sad Wei Ying was and tried to ask but stopped himself. He thought it was a good thing that Lan Zhan and Wei Ying were not getting along with each other. He wanted to know the reason but Wei Ying didn't pay too much attention to him. Nie Huisang was happy he met Wei Ying again, and he had already seen wihen he pranked head Master Lan that it was fun to be around him.

The three of them walked around to explore cloud Rescessess and when they came back he saw Lan Zhan coming out of the meeting hall. Lan Xichen had sent a desciple to call Lan Zhan from the Library Pavilion to meet them there. He had a conversation with his uncle about letting him and Lan Zhan move out of his house and live on their own. He had suggested that they lat Lan Zhan use his mother's house the Jingshi while he use his own the Hanshi. Lan Qiren listened carefully to what he had to say before answering which was unlike him, he told Lan Xichen that it was a good idea for them to move out at that time bacause many students might come to the house and  ask about either studies or advice, he said he didn't want to be disturbed by that so he agreed.

When Lan Zhan came Lan Xichen told him his decision and that his uncle had agreed to it, an that he can move out anytime he wanted there was no rush. Lan Zhan thanked both his uncle and brother because he had been dreaming of living in the Jingshi for so long, and now his dream was  ring made true. When he got out he had so many thoughts about how he would get Wei Ying to like him since he had his own house.  He knew his brother convinced his uncle because if Wei Ying and be was to thank him later for it. Right at the time he was about to turn and go take his stuff from his uncle's house he heard Wei Ying's voice calling him. He liked to the direction of the voice and he got really mad.

"Wangji-xiong...hi..." Wei Ying said while waving his hand at Lan Zhan. Lan Zhan looked at him and found that his hand was hanging over Nie Huisang's shoulder, which made him furious. His face darkened and he walked away, he was so furious, he asked himself how could someone who already had a soulmate act like that. He remembered that Wei Ying had forgotten everything about him but that wasn't an excuse to behave the way he did. He went to this uncle's house and took a few of his stuff and went to the Jingshi. He didn't have many things and he preferred it that way, he went in and looked around again then lit the sandlewood incense burner while he played his Wangji'.
