Early next morning, Wei Ying woke up and freshened up and went to class. He had not finished his punishment of copying the Lan clan rules which he will continue later after class. Class started and finished with Wei Ying being as silent and actually not causing any troubles. Lan Zhan was paying attention the whole time and he saw that Wei Ying was nit himself, all sorts of scenarios ran through his head and he concluded that it must be what happened the previous night that led to him being so low in spirit.

When class ended Wei Ying packed his books and went out of class followed by Nie Huisang and of course Jiang Cheng. He followed him all the way to the library when Wei Ying pretended he was fine not showing Jiang Cheng that he hit him right at the spot that weakened him. He was playful to Nie Huisang and made all sorts of jokes while they were laughing and teasing each other. Jiang Cheng was silent, he knew what he said to Wei Ying was wring but he was too proud to admit it. He followed silently and he wanted to engage in their fun but he was too embarrassed to even laugh at their jokes.

Wei Ying arrived at the library pavilion and he stood by the door waiting for Lan Zhan to come before he went in. The three if them stood there while Wei Ying kept complaining how long the rules actually we're and that he had first decided to cheat but it became impossible with Lan Zhan there. Nie Huisang proposed a to help him copy them and he agreed, a few minutes later Lan Zhan showed up and Nie Huisang was the first to see him as he mumbled trying to say his name when no one understood him. He was also the first to run away even after his promise to Wei Ying.

Jiang Cheng stood there trying to prove a point I guess, but Lan Zhan went passed him and stood infront of Wei Ying and asked " have you been waiting for long?" " Uhhhh...no , I actually just got here" he smiled and Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes at the events happening infront of him. Lan Zhan went in followed by Wei Ying, Jiang Cheng was also about to get in when he saw Wei Ying going to the far end of the hall in the library and saw Lan Zhan sitting on the other side of the room. He was relieved and he looked at Wei Ying who was now taking out his work and getting ready to continue copying.

Jiang Cheng went away and Wei Ying started writing, he was doing a pretty good job so far even though his calligraphy was bad. He was writing while thinking about the words Jiang Cheng had said to him the previous night, he didn't even realise he was crying while writing and Lan Zhan who had been looking at him the whole time couldn't understand what could have led to such emotions. He wanted to go to him but he didn't know what he would say to comfort him so he did what he thought would be the best for both of them. He stood up and went to close the door.

He went and to sit down at his table amd he swiped his hand across summoning Wangji, and it appeared on his table. He started by placing his fingers in the seven strings and closed his eyes, telling Wangji and the green spirit to calm down this time because he was actually trying to make Wei Ying feel better and not play his emotions like the two sprits did to them the previous night. He opened his eyes and looked at Wei Ying again, he held his emotions in as he watched his soulmate's face get wet with his own tears. Wei Ying didn't even realise he was thinking aloud or shall I say crying his heart out because he didn't realise he was actually crying until he heard Lan Zhan play the Guqin'.

He smiled as he realised it was the same song as he played the night before, but this was actually smoother and more calmer. He placed his elbows on the table and his hands cupped his head on both sides of his chin, he got surprised when he felt his face was wet. He wiped his cheeks and realised he had been crying this while time before he wiped his tears clean. Lan Zhan played so well as Wangji was strumming a peaceful melody for both of them to heal from their pain within. He would sometimes play the same melody but with different meanings and different purposes, each string was strung with excellent precision that he found himself smiling unknowingly.

But here was an uninvited visitor who was listening at the door, the visitor didn't want to disturb so he just stood outside until the melody was done being played. He thought it was a good melody and it didn't want any disturbances and he let the chosen ones have their own moment together. After the last string was played ending the song, Lan Xichen then came in and went over to Lan Zhan while smiling like a mad man. He was actually happy that his Dìdì was making progress, making progress in courting his soulmate and taking back what's his. His smiles and thoughts didn't go unnoticed by Lan Zhan as he understood what he was thinking at the time.

He folded his arms as he saw his Dìdì looking at him without blinking. He went over to Wei Ying and greeted him, asking him his his work was going and all sorts of questions. He wanted to establish the same relationship they shared when they first met. He was happy that Wei Ying was still his cheerful self and that he didn't let anything break his spirit. " Wei-Gonzi...how are you doing? Is your health alright now?" Lan Zhan shot his eyes at Wei Ying at after hearing that question. "Is Wei Ying sick? Why didn't he tell me was not alrighty" he thought.

"Aah...Zewu Jun...I'm not fully recovered yet but I'm doing fine, thank you for asking" he smiled while pacing both his hands in the book he was busy copying while giving his full attention Lan Xichen. " How is your memories? Any luck in getting some of them? " Unfortunately...no, but I have signs about what I have forgotten, you know like last night when I was with Lan Zhan, I felt like we met before, it was strange and I felt like we had done more than meet...you know...?" Lan Xichen chuckled and looked back at his brother and he saw that his ears had a tint of pink about what Wei Ying had said. He knew something happened that night years ago but he didn't know about recent activities.
