LAN ZHAN AND WEI YING'S ETERNAL DESTINY BOOK2

CHAPTER 16

Lan Zhan then decided he would let Wei Ying go to love whomever he wanted, of course he didn't want to neglect his responsibilities of fighting alongside him. That was his mission and he was going to complete it no matter what cost!

The atmosphere in the bathroom was somehow...shall I say...'suffocating' for both of them. Lan Zhan was dissapointed while Wei Ying was sad while unknown feelings ran throughout his body when his mind finally realised that he had again messed things up. It wasn't that he was attracted to Lan Zhan's body...well he was but who wouldn't? He had wanted to make things right but he realised that he made everything worse. Now how were they going to work together if there are still misunderstandings between them, he thought and he made a decision that he will try to find his own feelings for him and not hurt Lan Zhan the way he did that day. Of course that had to wait until they were much older than they were.

Lan Zhan turned around and took his robes from the screen and walked to the bathroom door and said " I'll come back after getting dressed and prepare a bath for you, just give me a few minutes" he wasn't looking at Wei Ying when he said that. He made a deal with himself not to look at Wei Ying becausehe couldn't take the rejection he saw from Wei Ying's face everytime he looked at him. Wei Ying nodded once and Lan Zhan left the bathroom. Wei Ying took his time in the bathroom thinking about what had just happened a few minutes ago, he wanted to reflect on his doings but Lan Zhan's perfect body kept popping in his mind everytime he thought of him. He sat on the small chair behind the door and waited for Lan Zhan to come back as he had said he would.

He couldn't understand why Lan Zhan would still prepare a bath for him even though he saw how he felt about him, to be honest...he wasn't doing it on purpose. He just didn't know of any romantic relationship between men and it's not like he was afraid of what people would say but rather how he and Lan Zhan would live as a couple. He knew he wanted to have a special relationship with a special young lady and have beautiful and smart children when he grows up, he had never imagined doing that with a man. The thought of not having kids and  changing the course if nature scared him. The Gods made that 'course if nature' and they can change it however they wanted, and they did. His thoughts were interrupted by Lan Zhan walking in and draining his bath water before cleaning it and filled it with warm water.

" Wei Ying...you can have your bath now, please call me when you're done so I can bring you your robes" Lan Zhan's eyes were looking at the floor the whole time and even Wei Ying saw that he was avoiding making eye contact with him. Wei Ying just said " Ok" as he felt that if he was to say anything else, then he would cry. Cry because the person infront of him still treats him well despite what he does or say. So Lan Zhan went out and left Wei Ying with his own thoughts. Wei Ying slowly took off his clothes because his dog bite wounds were still not healed yet and even though they were not that painful he they were sticking on his robes. He got completely naked and climbed in the bath tub, he sat down as the warm water relaxed his tensed muscles.

In the other room, Lan Zhan was about to sit down by the table when he heard a knock and he stood up to see who it was. He opened the door and saw one of the Lan clan desciple holding a tray of tea and told him that his brother told him to send it to him and Wei Ying and that he will be back before the tea got cold. He nodded and took the tray from the desciple before closing the door and going back to the table.  He poured himself a cup and slowly sipped in it and before he took the third sip...his brother opened the door, came in and sat down infront of him with a smile in his face then he said " Wanji...I just spoke with uncle, he had found a solution for Wei Ying. He sent a letter to uncle Jiang Fengmian and asked that he needed urgent help and that they should meet. I don't know how we are going to meet and go to the annual meeting without getting late.

But uncle said we can go ahead to the meeting and we would leave Wei Ying here so he could find him. So what do you think about all this". Lan Zhan's face changed and it was visible enough for Lan Xichen that Lan Zhan didn't like the idea of leaving Wei Ying behind but he needed to hear what he had to say about it. Lan Zhan kept quiet and and Lan Xichen also left the topic unfinished. He continued with other matters " so..Wanji ... how's your relationship with Wei Ying? I hope it is much better now compared to this morning" Lan Xichen smiled he saw how Lan Zhan's face fall to the table at the sudden mention of Wei Ying. He saw the meaning behind Lan Zhan's silence and he spoke.

" Wanji...I think you might have mistaken some of the things that happened today, I saw that Wei Ying was really trying to give you what you want but you still doubt him. I left you two together and went out twice thinking you could resolve whatever issues you might have, but I guess I made things worse. I'm sorry Wanji, I should've not done that." Lan Xichen looked so hurt because he thought he had made his brother's life a bit messy by leaving the two of them together in the room. He was certain that they would put their differences aside and do exactly what the Gods chose them to do, being soulmates because that was the key to ending wars. "Please give him time. He had a tough time already so please don't hurt him more or cast him aside cause it's really not his fault for things to be like this "  Lan Xichen said and Lan Zhan was looking straight in his eyes when he said those things, or perhaps reasons.
