LAN ZHAN AND WEI YING'S ETERNAL DESTINY BOOK2

CHAPTER 30

Jiang Fengmian turned around following Lan Zhan's gaze and he gasped as he saw Wei Ying standing tilted a few feet from where he was. He used his spiritual energy to speed his run towards Wei Ying and Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen gasped while Lan Qiren was in panick and kept his fingers crossed for Jiang Fengmian to reach Wei Ying on time before he fell.

Indeed he reached on time, he quickly caught him and and held him in his arms, Wei Ying looked at him with and a long breath escaped his lungs and he looked back at Lan Zhan to see if he really is safe before he closed his eyes and passed out. Lan Xichen and Lan Qiren were so relieved that he was saved but they were worried about his condition, but not the same as Lan Zhan whose breath hitched as he tried to feel if Wei Ying was in danger since they were connected. He knew he would feel it if Wei Ying broke his tendons while forcing his internal or shall I say core power and he was relieved that he didn't.

But this didn't mean that Wei Ying was alright or safe, his Qigong had deviated and was dashing and rushing in his body to his head. He was in so much pain from his exilier field that he passed out due to it. His metal health was not good and no one would know what would happen when he wakes up, this is what Lan Zhan felt after he tapped in his body to feel his snergy flow. He was about to go to when Lan Qiren grabbed his hand, Lan Zhan's state of mind was greatly disturbed and Lan Qiren stopping him from going to the one he loves to help him was more than enough to anger him. He was indeed very angry but he dicided to calm down before he did something that he will regret for the rest of his life.

Which was putting both him and Wei Ying in danger because his uncle won't sit idle if he knew his and Wei Ying's relationship. Anither this was disrespecting his uncle informt of so many people and desciples from other sects because if word spreads out that the younger Lan heir had disrespected his own uncle they would take Gusu Lan sect to the mud and would not be taken as a gateway to heaven as they always did. Lan Xichen was just watching looking at Lan Zhan, he knew he couldn't stop him even if he tried so he let his uncle deal with him. " Wanji! Where do you think you're going? Get in the boat...were going home ...now!!" Lan Qiren said out of somewhat anger or dissapointment, nobody knew really.

"Xichen! Take Wanji tothe boat. I'm going to say our farewells to Jiang clan leader, When I get back were leaving. Qù ba!!" "Yes uncle." Lan Xichen looked at Lan Zhan whose face was now red as a hi iron with anger visible in his body. He knew he was going to be punished like he always did when he speaks his mind. He dragged his feet and his eyes were sti glued to Wei Ying because he wanted to see even a little movement to see if his mental health was still normal. Wei Ying never did and Lan Zhan had to get in the boat with a heavy heart crying out for the love in its life. He sat down dejested, he knew his uncle would fire his questions at him she he comes back , wanting an explanation to everything that happened from the day before when Lan Zhan slept in the same room with a stranger and  feel comfortable with it, what's worse was that he saw how much he  cared for Wei Ying. So...he started his meditation to calm his core energy.

Jiang Fengmian caught Wei Ying and held him up while he checked his pulse, he noticed how he was so thin. He knew he had not been eating well all this by looking at him. But when he checked his pulse his eyes looked at Lan Qiren who was now approaching him.  " Jiang Fengmian... how is he?" Lan Qiren asked and Jiang Fengmian didn't know how to answer him since he also didn't know what was happening with him. He shook his head looking at Lan Qiren " I will take him back first and I will call the healers to check what's going on with him, I think he may be a special case and Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen may know about it that's why Lan Zhan asked that I call a healer. I'll leave first, I will send message to inform you how he is and please do tell Lan Zhan that I thank him very much.

Lan Qiren and Jiang Fengmian said their goodbyes, Jiang Fengmian called his desciples and instructed them to bring the horse carriage so he could take Wei Ying to be checked quickly before it was too late...according to Lan Zhan. The Lan boat sailed away and Lan Qiren looked at Lan Zhan and then turned on his seat and looked at Lan Xichen before asking " Xichen...I need to know what happened yesterday when we separated, you sent the  desciples to inform me that you won't be coming back, that you booked an Inn nearby with company of a stranger. Now tell me what happened and why is Wanji acting like he has full responsibility over that boy...I don't get it...he doesn't anyone close to him and not even those in his clan but yet he lets  a stranger in and gives him a place to sleep and food..."

" Uncle...well ... when we departed yesterday, Wanji and I were walking through some stalls looking for some toys or anything that could interest Wanji. Uncle knows it was Wanji's first time to be out of Gusu and I wanted him to enjoy the trip, we did enjoy only a few minutes of it. We heard a scream of a child less than our age and we went to investigate, only to find Wei Ying lying in the floor with dogs all around him, bitting him and people were just walking by and not helping him. We saved him from the dogs and because he was homeless I decided that it would be safe if we get him a proper place to sleep and treat his wounds.

Actually uncle... I think the reason why Wanji cares too much for him was the fact that he lost both his parents and he had no siblings or anyone to care for him. I think uncle would agree, according to how you taught us.. we should treat people the way we want to be treated and nothing less, showing kindness and lending a helping hand is all it takes not even caring about earning merits. He did that out of knowing that something similar would have happened to him if he didn't have you. I know uncle may think that Wanji can be too much to handle sometimes and I would not say otherwise just that I know Wanji more than he thinks he knows himself. So uncle...rest assured, everything is fine"
