There was silence for a while and Wei Ying who was listening to each and every word that was said stoop up. He didn't  know who Jin Zixuan really was or which clan he was from but that didn't matter, if someone tried to offend his 'shijie' then he won't hasitate to unsheathe his sword and lay down his life for her. Jiang Cheng who was also thinking the same followed Wei Ying. But he knew who Jin Zixuan was, he didn't like the idea of who he was to them but he had no choice. As they ascended the stairs they heard one desciple speak to his sister in a very disrespectful way, he got more furious and by the time he reached the top stairs he was fuming mad.

" Excuse me gūniàng, my master paid for the whole place so you need to leave...don't just stand there get out! "  Jiang Yanli got frightened by the tone the desciple used and her breath hitched a little as she looked back at Jin Zixuan who at that moment avoided her gaze and looked the other way. She stood there trying to see if Jin Zixuan would intervene in the matter since she was belittled infront of him by his desciple, but he  didn't even spare her a glance. Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng reached to their assigned room and saw that her shijie was there face to face with Jin Zixuan and it seemed like the young master had nothing to say about that.

Wei Ying reached there and stood infront of his shijie and looked at the young master infront of him " hey you...don't you know it's unacceptable for a lady to be disrespected like that? Why aren't you saying anything...huh?"  " Who do you think you are talking to my young master like that? I see you clan don't teach manners. Move away from here or else-..."  " Or else what?...hey 蟑螂 zhāngláng (*cockroach*) was I talking to you? And don't mention clans here, why did you have to upset me and bring it up? If you do want a fight them I won't dissapoint you nor hasitate to give it to you, just don't bring up clans in your stupid behaviour...好吧? Hǎo ba? (*Ok?*) "

"A-Xian...leave it, let's go.." they were about to walk into the room when the same desciple scoffed, Wei Ying was about to turn around when his shijie out her hand infront of his to stop him from going to the desciple. She knew he didn't want anything when it came to her and he knew Wei Ying was always to spill blood for her sake. She liked how his Dìdì was over protective of her but she didn't want him to get into trouble for killing a desciple from another clan. Wei Ying looked at the hand infrint of him and he looked back to his shijie who then shook her head, in reference to not do what he was about to do.

He gave her a light nod and a dissapointed face and entered the room, they packed all their stuff, Wei Ying wanted to go back downstairs to pay the Inn keeper for the wine and tea and also to ask how much it is for their short stay, so he asked Jiang Yanli to pack her stuff and he would be back. He didn't want to keep his shijie waiting when they were about to leave sienv how sad she was. Jiang Yanli agreed and he left the room when Jiang Cheng also followed him.

When they reached downstairs Jiang Cheng told Wei Ying that he was going to buy some bread for his sister since he didn't eat anything as they were kicked out before they could order, Wei Ying agreed knowing she wanst8the one to complain of bunger as long as her two brothers were fed she was fine. Wei Ying finished talking to the Inn keeper and he was happy because the Inn keeper only charged him for the wine and tea and said that they didn't use the room for even an hour, so they didn't have to pay. He was smiling while ascending the stairs when he saw Jin Zixuan standing by the door of the room her shijie was in.

He reached there and crossed his leg behind the other and leaned against the door frame and said " master Jin, don't you think this inappropriate? Standing at a lady's bedroom door like this...what is it that you want to see? doesn't your clan teach you these kinds of things? You know...manners? " Wei Ying was smiling and playful, but Jin Zixuan knew the meaning behind his words. He scoffed and looked the other way. " My shijie will never be interested in a peako-.."  "A-Xian..." Jiang Yanli suddenly opened the door and stopped Wei Ying from finishing his sentence. " Shijie-.."
" A-Xian...we need to go"

Jiang Yanli stepped out of the room and bowed curtsey to him and stood straight looking into his eyes, he looked the other way feeling embarrassed for his behaviour. He had came with the intention of speaking to her, you know...to get to know her. But because he stood so long at the door not knowing what to say to her if he knocked and she opened the door, he became hassitant until Wei Ying showed up. To be honest, he really liked Jiang Yanli, but because of the news his mother found out about madam Yu, Jiang Yanli's mother, she began to tell her son that he didn't need to marry her anymore.

Madam Yu and Madam Jin were childhood friends and when they were still young they had promised each other that when they gave birth, their first children would marry each other if they were different genders and if they were the same gender they would become sworn brother's. That promise was kept by the two but when madam Jin heard about madam Yu's actions she wasn't impressed. She had thought that her daughter might inherit those bad behaviours her.from her mother and didn't want anything to do with them anymore, but because she had made a promise, she couldn't tell madam Yu that she wanted to cancel their promise out if embarrassment. So she filled her son's head with so many things and told him he was the Jin heir and didn't need to marry her.

But by then it was already too late because they had already spend so much time together as children, and they knew at a very young age that they were engaged to each other and would marry when they come if age. For Yanli who couldn't express her feelings about this matter kept it in and would sometimes cry herself to sleep when madam Jin kept on cancelling their meeting with an excuse that she was busy, she had to go somewhere, or that his son was busy with his studies and didn't have time.

Somehow Jiang Yanli knew that madam Jin didn't want her son near her anymore, she would hear rumours and gossip about how Jin Zixuan would never marry a weak girl like her who didn't even have any talents, that she was only good for making babies which was why Jin Zixuan didn't want anything to do with her. She never told anyone her pains and struggles because she thought maybe Jin Zixuan would someday remember the times they've spent together, the promises they made to each ither. She hoped he would.
