LAN ZHAN AND WEI YING'S ETERNAL DESTINY BOOK2

CHAPTER 29

It looked like they were both trying to move towards each other but they were frozen to the ground like statues and only their eyes blinking. After Lan Xichen saw Wei Ying he waved his hand at him but he was unable to wave back. Lan Xichen saw that Wei Ying's state of being was the same as Lan Zhan's,and he tried to wake his brother up from his frozen gaze when he saw that there was a big carriage coming. If Wei Ying didn't move he would fall in the lake and worse, he will definitely get injured. He shook Lan Zhan again and again and when he saw that there was no effect he turned around and pointed at the direction Wei Ying was going to in panick and Wei Ying forced himself out of it.

No matter how hard he tried he couldn't, he stood there trying to shake himself out of it and saw that it still had no effect until the carriage reached where he was, the coachman saw him standing there and maneuvered towards the other direction. His panick rose up as he saw that the angle the carriage was going to win crash towards Lan Zhan an Lan Xichen. They were still a little further away from him but he had already calculated the distance and the angles and his eyes bulged as their gazes still locked in each other. He took up to him to save Lan Zhan and that meant doing the most dangerous thing he had promised not to do.

He concerntrated on his internal energy and opened his core power by force, his body shook and he closed his eyes and tried to hide himself. There were many people going about and his view and Lan Zhan's was still plainly visible, which made Lan Zhan see what Wei Ying was about to do, he panicked but there was nothing he could do. Like I said...the matters of the heart are better left alone and to let the heart decided it's own destiny and whether it brings harm to the body and mind or not the heart still wants what it wants and will try by all means to get it and if it doesn't...well...the body will be the one to suffer as it succumbs due to the pressure the heart pushes towards it.

The body will die down and collapse and the brain will stop functioning and the heart will be the last organ in the entire body to still beat, crying out as it feels the pain of the one it holds dear and it will keep on beating until it cries out loosing energy from failing to keep the one it longs for close. And the final beat is the strongest as it represents the final cry of agony still holding on and hoping to be remembered and saved. Then all the pain it had been holding for the one it loves will be it's downfall until it completely shuts down, taking the entire body to down first before it withers away to its death.

Having no control over what was happening was making Lan Zhan loose his mind, the panick was visible enough and even though he saw the carriage coming towards him he didn't care. He just wanted Wei Ying to stop and his heart kept him trapped. Wei Ying continued as the core power ran with unstoppable speed in his body threatening to break his meridians, making his body burn like a furnace as he tried to lift his foot of the ground and with great difficulty. After trying for what felt like eternity he finally managed to lift it up and stepped back and he closed his core power again successfully, making Lan Zhan wake from his nightmare. Lan Xichen saw that he could now nice and be pulled him back, when the carriage passed from where he had stood he wished he could speed it up to see if Wei Ying was alright.

It finally did pass and now Wei Ying and Lan Zhan were looking at each other,they both felt relieved as they saw that they were alright. But that their happiness was short when Wei Ying suddenly spat a mouthful of blood and Lan Zhan watched as Wei Ying's white robes stained red and a tear made its way out forcibly. Lan Xichen also panicked and whispered Wei Ying's name even though  Lan Zhan was the only one to hear making Lan Zhan's entire body trembled from fear, fear if loosing his soulmate, the one who had been calling his name in his dreams for seven years and now he was in grave danger and there was nothing he could do about it.

Lan Xichen was about to go to him when Lan Qiren who was oblivious about what's going in called him to go home. He looked at his uncle and refused to look back at Wei Ying since he didn't want to bring too much attention towards Wei Ying. They needed help but who could help them without him exposing who Wei Ying really was to everyone around them. He looks at Lan Zhan and he saw that his tears had filled his eyes and he waited for his uncle to bid farewell to Jiang Fengmian before he quickly wiped Lan Zhan's tears away and dragged him. It was necessary for the safety of Wei Ying.

Lan Zhan kept walking but his head was still focused on the now weak Wei Ying who was holding himself not to fall down while Lan Zhan was still looking.  Wei Ying maanged to hold himself and when he saw that Lan Zhan was already by climbing in the boat he smiled  feeling relived that Lan Zhan was safe. But he  refrained his smile as he felt dizzy and his eyes began to go blur, his feet went numb and his body burned up like he was in a fire and his body tilted  backwards. Lan Zhan quickly got off the boat as went towards his uncle and Jiang Fengmian and bowed a little before saying " clan leader jiang! Save Wei Ying, he needs you right now "  both elders were surprised by Lan Zhan's behaviour since it was the first time they saw him like that.

" Lan Wanji! What do you mean, where is he?" Lan Zhan just pointed out to where Wei Ying was before he spoke " he is about to faint as we speak and please don't ask me or him questions about anything, you can ask about his parents but nothing else. Make sure he is protected always and please treat him as your own, I will repay you this favour someday. Go now and quickly call the clan healer to attend to him when you reach there " Lan Zhan maanged to day that much in so little time which only took his a few seconds and when he liked back at Wei Ying he saw that indeed he was about to fall down.

Jiang Fengmian turned around following Lan Zhan's gaze and he gasped as he saw Wei Ying standing tilted a few feet from where he was. He used his spiritual energy to speed his run towards Wei Ying and Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen gasped while Lan Qiren was in panick and kept his fingers crossed for Jiang Fengmian to reach Wei Ying on time before he fell.
