Actually uncle... I think the reason why Wanji cares too much for him was the fact that he lost both his parents and he had no siblings or anyone to care for him. I think uncle would agree, according to how you taught us.. we should treat people the way we want to be treated and nothing less, showing kindness and lending a helping hand is all it takes not even caring about earning merits. He did that out of knowing that something similar would have happened to him if he didn't have you. I know uncle may think that Wanji can be too much to handle sometimes and I would not say otherwise just that I know Wanji more than he thinks he knows himself. So uncle...rest assured, everything is fine"

Lan Qiren was listening attentively the whole time and kept stroking his beard, he was convinced that that's how it was considering the fact that Lans never lie. To be honest, Lan Xichen didn't lie, he just explained to his uncle what was happening without telling him they were soulmates. There are many reasons people can worry and care about others and of course they do care because they love them, but there are different kinds of love. For example, the love you have for your parents, your siblings and other relatives, but it goes even beyond the boundaries of a family or blood relations because you can love your friend and even a stranger. I know others may think it's impossible to love a stranger, but the love of soulmates or lovers starts from them being strangers before it builds into something else...something stronger than even those who are inlove with each other cannot even comprehend.

Then after a while of thinking, Lan Qiren came up with another question " Xichen I hear what you're saying, but don't you think Wanji is acting a bit strange especially these days? I mean yesterday before we came here, he was lavitating and everything about him was not of this world. I know I had forgotten what the elder Baoshan Sanren had said but there are some things I remember about what happened. Wanji has the strongest golden core from when he was a baby and I vaguely remember what elder Baoshan Sanren said about it, I just know that he's going to be part of something really really big and that really scares me, I mean look at Wanji's temperament...does he look like a 7years old boy to you? Sometimes I think he's even older than me and that is why I don't ask questions.

Looking back till now, I can conclude that Wanji will indeed change the mortal world as we know it, he had even started to care about someone he doesn't even know. I'm so proud of him" Lan Qiren stroke his beard while nodding continuously feeling proud of the boys he raised. " Of course uncle, but I don't think we should expect the same thing he did for the boy to do it to someone else, I feel like we should give him some time to do things his own way at his own pace " and indeed Lan Zhan want like that to just anyone, Lan Xichen smiled after convincing his uncle about the happenings in Lan Zhan's life and be didn't know how they were going to explain to him in the near future when they should strengthen their bond. He blushed at the thought of that and he hanged his head to hide it.

After a few more two more hours they reached home, they traveled by a horse carriage after getting off the boat and Lan Zhan just kept quiet the whole way without even looking at his uncle or his brother. They reached home and Lan Zhan went straight in to their bedroom, both Lan Zhan and Lan Qiren looked on as he silently went inside and closed the bedroom door. Lan Xichen understood because they had a really long journey and he need a lot if time to think about what had happened on their trip. But Lan Qiren found it disrespectful and he breathed heavily and was about to go in and scold him when Lan Xichen distracted him. " Uncle... I think Wanji and I should work very hard to to make up for the days we missed in class" and it worked because Lan Qiren liked it when they took their studies serious.

He nodded and smiled a little before going in the tea room and prepared some tea, while Lan Xichen went to accompany his brother in the bedroom. He found him sitting in the floor and it looked like he was silently crying . " Wanji...are you okay?"  " Xiongzhang...his can I leave him just like that? He saved, this time he saved me and he put himself in danger by doing that. What if something bad happened to him? What would I do then... (*Sobs*) I can't lose him xiongzhang...I can't ...I would risk my life to save his...I would die to make sure he lives.."

" Wanji! What are you saying...you mean you would die for him?" " Yes... xiongzhang..without a second thought I would" " but Wanji...don't you think you're being selfish...you would risk your life for his, you would die for him? What do you expect him to do when you die? Move in with his life and find another soulmate?" Lan Zhan gasped and shit his eyes at Lan Xichen, just the thought of Wei Ying being with someone else numbed his entire body. Lan Xichen noticed that and he pushed on " Wanji...listen to me, you had to leave him behind to protect him, if you didn't what do you think would have happened, I believe you already heard uncle's suspicions in our way home.

Nothing will happen to him Wanji, the Gods had already wrote both your fates down and it is one,not two but one fate. If you think he's not ok you know you could always tap into him and find out if he's ok or not. You will know." Lan Zhan thought for a second and it send like his brother gave him an idea when he sat down in a meditative posture and started tapping in Wei Ying's spiritual energy. They were one and no matter where the other was it didn't matter, as long as they have connected their bond it was enough, their final bond seal was when they were old enough to perform sexual activities. Lan Zhan successfully tapped in Wei Ying's spiritual energy and he felt that it was weak, too weak to tell which state he was in. In the end...this method was not helpful since he got disconnected and was blocked out.
