Jiang Yanli heard the rumours and she was so hurt that she decided to dedicate her life in taking care of his brothers a'Cheng and a'Xian.

The following day Jiang Fengmian got the news that Lan Zhan had been injured and he rushed to Cloud Rescessess and ordered the two desciples to keep guard of Wei Ying at any cost. He left in the afternoon and took a few desciples with him, leaving the rest to take care of things. She he left, he didn't tell madam Yu and that also made her proof her assumptions that indeed Jiang Fengmian did really love Cangse Sanren more than her, she went to the back garden where she usually went to clear her head but she was filled with memories of her husband and Cangse talking about keeping her pregnancy a secret.

She got more furious and rushed to Wei Ying's room, she found the guards outside and scoffed at them about to open the door when they stopped him. She got so mad that she ordered her two trusted personal bodyguards Jinzhu and Yinzhu to deal with them. They took the desciples away and took them to the forest where they cut their bodies  in pieces and threw them in the the lake. Their actions were quick and clean without making any expressions, the fact that they were women was what made many let their guard down which the the biggest mistake which costed many their lives. They were much stronger than other cultivators in Lotus Cove and they were feared by many.

That aswell as madam Yu being the best cultivator if her clan who always hung her sword in her waist and her Zidian in her index finger, her personality was known to be ruthless and disrespectful regardless of who it was. She entered Wei Ying's room and found him awake, trying to wake up and go to the bathroom and she sneered. " You're awake...hâo de (*good*) now I'm going to make you wish you never stepped foot here, you're trying to steal my son's glory you son of a servant. I should have killed your mother myself, but it's okay...I'm gonna make sure you beg me to kill you after I'm done with you

She grabbed Wei Ying by the arm and dragged her out if his room all the way to the ancestral hall and made him kneel down. Wei Ying was in so much pain and everyone was watching as she dragged him and threw him inside, but they were helpless. " Bow to your ancestors and ask them for forgiveness for coming to ruin my son's future, then tell them to wait for you because you'll be joining them very soon." Wei Ying was crying in pain as his leg felt like it was about to come off when he was forced to kneel. Madam Yu left him in there and went to drink some tea while she waited for him. All Wei Ying could do was  cry  until he found courage to speak his pains to the Jiang ancestors and asking them to let his parents come through to listen to his cries just that once.

He spoke of how he was once forcefully forced to drink poison by madam Yu, how she used to lock him in a room with dogs the whole night just because he passed his exams, how he was constantly beat up when no one was watching and even if they did no one was to help him since everyone was scared for their families. How she would make him a slave and made him fetch water, or wood and would even sometimes tell him to do all the chores for the desciples and she would follow him everywhere while constantly whipping. A good thing was she had never used purple whip on him, it was the most powerful spiritual tool and if she did his body's age would not be able to take it.

But that all changed after she find who he really was. Wei Ying was left there the whole day and madam Yu called the desciples to go and tell him to go to his room. They secretly helped him to his room to sleep since he was too tired and the pain in his fibia had cracked further more and his abdominal pain was worse since he hadn't had anything to eat the whole day. Madam Yu went to his room to see if he was sleeping and when she entered she found him crying holding onto his leg. " Huh...what are you crying about you servant boy, stop making noise and sleep because from tomorrow you won't be doing anything else but the chores that are what you should've done when you came here.

Stand up right now and come kneel here...I said COME HERE RIGHT NOW!!! " Wei Ying wiped hi ms tears and and dragged his body towards her and kneeled infront of her. She folded her hand into a fist and Zidian sizzled over the deep resentment it felt from madam Yu and she whipped Wei Ying. He cried out in pain that the whole Lotus Pierre heard his cries feeling helpless with fear. She continued to whip him a couple more times which added to sixteen times and by then Wei Ying had long list his consciousness and lying bleeding in the wooden floor. He had passed out from the fifth whip and she continued to whip him even when he passed out.

She scoffed and left Wei Ying on the floor and close the door and told everyone that if they went in his room she would kill them, out if fear and sometimes cowardness they didn't .
While Wei Ying was lying there he got sucked  to the spiritual world and there he met madam Lan who first introduced herself. Wei Ying didn't she was Lan Zhan's mother and even if she said she was...he still had forgotten about him. She found him lying face down near the river in the spiritual world and she woke him up. " Wei Ying...Wei Ying...Wei Ying, it's time to wake up. There's so much you need to do" She said. Wei Ying woke up and she wasn't surprised by where he was since he got a memory of that place the instant he tried to opene his eyes.

" Why am I here,?" He looked at himself because he was surprised " why am I in this body, I remember my parents telling me that I was special but is this why I am?" Wei Ying said pointing around in the spiritual realm.
" No son, I think it's time to get some if your memory back so that you would know the tase that's ahead if you when time comes. You need training and you need it for the future.
" I don't need it, madam Yu will kill me this time if she finds out I am more skilled than her son, I don't want to be punished again."
" Wei Ying...it's not an option you need to , and about that madam Yu, the Gods have already prepared everything for her cruelness, apparently a lot of people died of her, don't worry. Let's begin."

Madam Lan placed her two fingers on Wei Ying's temple and transfered him his memories from the first day he started living in the streets. Leaving out his memory of Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen, when she finished his memory was left blank where there should've been Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen and said " I have left blanks in your memories which you were with someone who you will walk your path with, your soulmate " Wei Ying gasped.
