CHAPTER 13

" Uhmm... Zewu Jun..uhmm it's nothing serious it just that I mistakenly made a mistake but...on purpose. Hahaha don't worry about it Lan Zhan had nothing to do with it" Lan Xichen was confused that even Lan Zhan himself looked at Wei Ying trying to make sense of what he was trying to say. " Oh! I mean uuhh...I did something Lan Zhan didn't like because I thought he wouldn't have a problem with it, that he would like it but...he didn't so..." " Wei Ying... I still don't get it, what exactly did you do to him?"

" Xiongzhang!.." Lan Zhan said while looking straight in his brother's eyes, his tone was calm but deep because the one that spoke was not Lan Xichen's seven years old brother...but his spiritual self. Lan Xichen looked at Lan Zhan and he immediately understood 'which Wanji ' said what was heard. He stopped asking and started dishing food for both Lan Zhan and Wei Ying before dishing his. Wei Ying was left in an awkward moment and he didn't want that " Zewu Jun...I know you respect your position towards us and I think you for that, you are not too different from us spiritually just our positions are too greater than all mortals. But let me say this...you can enter my personal space if you feel the need to, I just realised how private Lan Zhan is regarding his matters and other people's matters and I cannot do anything that he doesn't want me to do, so unless he tells me otherwise   directly then I won't hesitate telling you or asking for advice."

"Thank you Wei Ying, I can already see that the Gods chose well. I'm happy you're willing to share your personal matters with me even in the levels were in and I will continue to respect that. But the thing is I was given permission by Wanji to know about him when needed to. Let me say this straight, Wanji is not the kind to talk much even if needed to, he has always been like that. A few years back he saw that I was struggling to understand him and he saw the amount of pain I felt from the helplessness of being unable to protect him. He then decided to let me in on himself, he gave me a gift of understanding him without him saying anything and even now...I'm the only one who can read his eyes and determine what he wants or what he wants to say. Just now...he wasn't being rude to me as you might think, I saw it in his eyes that he didn't know how he could you both can explain it since it was 'too personal.'

And trust me I know the reason behind those two words. I can already sense an obstacle between you two that is preventing you from knowing each other like you should and the way I see it...you're the one withholding yourself from him, am I right?"  Lan Xichen had the most sincere smile on his face when he said those words and even Wei Ying felt the vibrations of his meaning. He looked at Lan Zhan for a few seconds and back at Lan Xichen and said "I think I had a misunderstanding of him during the core bonding. I...I think I am holding back but not with reasons he thinks I'm holding back for. I cannot explain it now and maybe in the future I will when our bodies are grown to our level of our spiritual selves. " He concluded and looked at Lan Zhan.

" Lan Zhan...I'm sorry about that, I understand now why you did and said what you said and that's all thanks to Zewu Jun. I'm sorry I hurt you the way I did but it was unintentional and by the looks of things you cut the mind reading while I was still in my deep thoughts fighting with myself and my feelings, because if you didn't ... you would know why my thoughts were like that. Lan Zhan...I'm sorry " Wei Ying's words had held pain within and only a deaf person couldn't understand how apologetic he was. Lan Zhan stopped midway from sipping his tea and looked at him, he now understands Wei Ying a little bit but he still couldn't change his own thinking that Wei Ying needed more time to trully and fully accept him and love him unconditionally like he does. They looked at each other for a few more seconds before Lan Xichen spoke." Ok...now that we've come past that, I think it's time to eat."

Their stares broke and their hands and mouths were in motion, working together to fill their stomachs in total silence. After a few minutes they were finished and Lan Xichen spoke " oh! Wei Ying... I think we need to get you some changing clothes so you couldchange after taking a bath, I will go to uncle's room and get you some of Wanji's robes to wear" he smiled and looked at Lan Zhan who nodded in approval and held left with the tray of dirty bowls and he threw the dirty chopsticks in the trash can because he didn't want to expose the two of them. He knew the evil spirits could keep their saliva and scent to sense where they were anytime just like they do with blood. He knew that because his uncle and him investigated the poison matter and they found out that the one who poisoned them was actually looking for Wei Ying.

That person used Wei Ying's blood which was  coming from the wounds inflicted by the dogs before Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen found him and used it to track him. This practice was done by cultivators when fighting with the evil spirits, when the evil spirits flee and have  injuries during battle they would use their blood which sometimes would be left on their swords or on the ground to track the sveil spirits down. This time...someone used the same method to track a child down to kill him, whoever it was didn't even know that Wei Ying was the chosen one. Who that person was, was still a mystery to them but they had to be extra careful from then on.

Lan Xichen left the room to bring both Wei Ying and Lan Zhan some clothes to wear after  they had freshened up. " Lan Zhan... I'm sorry about everything" Lan Zhan was about to go to the bathroom when Wei Ying said that, then he immediately stopped and turned around. " Wei Ying...I don't blame you for anything, we were given a huge responsibility and we might be older but our bodies are still young, so... I think...I think it would be best if we don't do anything that might be uncomfortable for our bodies now. And you don't have to force yourself to be comfortable with me around, you're not obligated to be mine and me yours. But I have one question to ask..."
