Lan Zhan left, leaving Wei Ying still standing at the gate feeling sad, he couldn't understand his urge to just hug the Second Childe Lan and just donthimgs to him that no body could think of. Both if them had to hold their breaths when together just to make sure that they don't do or say anything to each other. Wei Ying thought that may e it's best if he doesn't bother Lan Zhan anomore and just focus on what he came to do, studying. He entered the gate and he saw that his shijie had come out to see if he was coming back. He went to her and she was happy that he was alright, she led her inside to have the meals she prepared while he was away.

When Lan Zhan turned around and went back to his uncle's house,he felt a stingy in his heart. That sting was not because he was walking away from Wei Ying, but the reason was that Wei Ying had told him that he doesn't love men and the feeling he has can never be anything close to a relationship. He was hurt but he couldn't do anything about it but to work hard in order to make him realise that he was his. When he reached home he found Lan Xichen waiting for him outside, he had been waiting outside because he didn't want his uncle to hear their conversation.

He walked to the balcony where his brother was and " Xiongzhang..." " Wangji...did you speak to him? Did you tell him who you are? "  Lan Zhan looked down and shook his head " but why Wangji? You should make him remember as long as he's here with us. What if other student who are coming find him attractive and make a move before you. You know he has all the quili–"  "Xiongzhang...
Please...I don't want to talk about it now"  " But why Wangji? Aren't you going to get him back?" " It's not that I want to...but he said he doesn't love men... Xiongzhang...I think I should let him be and not bother him." " Wangji..what are you saying ...are you giving up on your love? On him?"

Lan Zhan turned around, and looked at the shining moon as he breathed in and out slowly. He was at loss and didn't know what to do, he didn't want to give up on Wei Ying, but if Wei Ying didn't want him then he was not going to force him. He wasn't good with communication and his brother knew that he was even rough in handling Wei Ying, she he hadn't seen him for so many years. He knew he can't speak up hi mind and even if he was given a chance to talk face to face with Wei Ying, he wouldn't, rather tell him about the rules or blaa blaa that. That's how he was, he had stayed silent for so many years suffering , not allowing his brother to interfere all because he was saving him from trouble.

As Lan Zhan turned around he knew his brother was hurt, but what couod he do when he doesn't allow him. He watched him as he kept looking at the moon and he knew, he was really troubled and in pain. That's how Lan Zhan was, if he was sad or worried about something, he would rather share his thoughts with the moon instead of sharing it with someone who could actually give him advice. He knew better than to ask for permission, so he used a card that he thought he should've used a long time ago when Lan Zhan had started to leave him out of his problems even when he was suffering alone.

Lan Zhan quickly turned around looking at his brother with shock laced on his face, he couldn't believe he had been making his brother feel like he didn't he didn't matter to him, like he was being  disrespectful towards him, like he didn't matter to him anymore. Nothing hurt me more than that, even the feeling of loosing Wei Ying wasn't that painful than what he had done. " Xiongzhang...did I ever disrespect you?"
