CHAPTER 75

From that day onwards, Jiang Cheng belittled Wei Ying, scared him with his dogs which his father had locked away in a big room outside the maid's rooms. He had constantly done that until his father found out about it and took the dogs away from Lotus Cove. He cried so hard and went to Wei Ying's room and kicked him out, telling him to go out of his home and go live on the streets like he always did. One time Jiang Cheng kicked him out threatening him that he will bring many dogs to sleep in his room if he was to ever come back.

Wei Ying ran away without anyone knowing until it was close to midnight. Jiang Yanli came into Wei Ying's room and and found only Jiang Cheng sleeping, she had come there to inform them that dinner was ready but Wei Ying was not there. She asked her brother where Wei Ying was,he said he didn't know. His sister was so persistent until he told her the truth. She ran out looking for him and only found him  five hours later , he was sitting on a tree branch and he had fallen asleep. It was the same tree he slept on when madam Yu had kicked him out a few years ago until he was found in the morning.

Jiang Yanli called him a few times until he woke up, she persuaded him to climb down but he denied saying he didn't want dogs to bite him. It was not until his shijie promised to give him his favourite meal lotus soup that he finally climbed down, he lost his footing and fell down dislocating his ankle in the process. Jiang Yanli gave him a piggy back ride home and she told Jiang Cheng to start sleeping in his room and not bother Wei Ying again. That was a relief for Wei Ying since he slept peacefully in his own room without Jiang Cheng giving him nasty looks or somethines looks that made him think that he would wake up naked if he even tried to sleep

Now they were in Cloud Rescessess and Wei Ying had given him a cold shoulder again, he became sorry for himself for not always getting what he wanted. He had promised himself to try again but less aggressively and less creepy next time, but Wei Ying brushing off his hand made him think it was going to be hard. He finally managed to calm his jiejie down and took her to her room to sleep. He waited for Wei Ying to come back since he didn't know where he went. He hoped that since he liked the atmosphere in the forest, he might have gone there to calm down. He dreaded seeing Wei Ying with someone else and that thought Aline was enough to sadden him.

In the Jingshi, Lan Zhan kept playing with his eyes closed and his pain playing the strings in his hands. Wangji and Lan Zhan played Wuji together, it was a melody that was created by mistake, the melody that be ame what it was because of the pain Lan Zhan felt and the tears that fell on the zither. When the song reached a certain part, Wei Ying cried so hard that he couldn't breath properly as his emotions were stuck in his throat, his mind searching and his heart longing. When Lan Zhan stopped playing he wiped his tears off his eyes and Wei was watching his face the entire time, his heart was jumping with joy while his mind shut down.

Lan Zhan opened his eyes and he gasped, he was shocked to see that there was someone in his house, right infront of him, his love and soulmate was sitting right infornt of him while crying his eyes out. He opened his mouth but no words came out, he tried again but only managed to say " Wei Ying...". Wei Ying gasped, wondering since when Lan Zhan had called him by his birth name, why the sing felt like he belonged right where he was. He was still crying she be stood up from and slowly went to Lan Zhan. Lan Zhan stood up as he saw that Wei Ying had no energy left in him, he saw that he had been crying for a long time and he didn't know when he even arrived there. He stood up and stood where he was, and he watched as Wei Ying stood next to him.

Wei Ying suddenly slammed into Lan Zhan without giving any notice and huggged him, he hugged him so tight as if his heart threatened to collapse and break down into pieces if he were to let go. Lan Zhan hugged him back, he felt Wei Ying's trembles and he tightened his arms around him. A lone tear fell on Wei Ying's shoulder, he tried to breathe so he would be able to calm him down. He did not know why Wei Ying was crying , he felt Wei Ying's pain that was too understand. He hoped no one dared to punish Wei Ying without his knowledge, if that was the case, then he would not be able to let it go, whether it was his uncle or someone else. He was in charger of deciding the punishments and he was informed in advance to decide.

" Lan Zhan...(sniffs) what's going on with me? Why did I come in here? Lan Zhan...it hurts...it hurts so bad please make it stop, I can't take it anymore... it's too much for me , please, please make it stop." Wei Ying cried some more as he hung his hands around Lan Zhan's waist and tightened them. " Wei Ying.."
" Lan Zhan please...please make it stop hurting, it's too much, I can't teke it anymore"  Lan Zhan felt like his world was about to break, he still didn't understand what Wei Ying was trying to say but he wanted to to make him stop crying. His heart was aching on behalf of it's soulmate and his weakeness was his soulmate, he would unleash his powers on thise responsible for his pain.

Lan Zhan picked Wei Ying up bridal style and took him to his bedroom, he slowly and carefully placed him on his bed and made him sit while covering his legs with a quilt. He stood up to get some water for him but Wei Ying grabbed his robe, he did not say anything else but Lan Zhan understood that he didn't want him to leave him there. " Wei Ying...I'm going to get some water for you, I'll be back in a second. I'm not going anywhere I promise you.
