LAN ZHAN AND WEI YING'S ETERNAL DESTINY BOOK2

CHAPTER 26

"You know I won't see you in a long time so now one would think if doing what I did. And I hope no one even dares to!" Lan Zhan whispered the last part but this didn't go unheard by Wei Ying. He heard exactly what he said and his ears pricked up and his body froze and with a trembling voice he said " wh-what...Lan Zh-Zhan..what...did you...- what did you d-do t-to me?"

" You forced open your core power and you were in danger of qi deviation, I tried to call you out but you didn't listen, you were listening but not responding.  It was like- like someone or something had taken control over you, the look on your face was also different. So please ...try not to let anything get to you to a point of loosing control. You also need to meditate regularly for two hours, an oh! About what I wanted to say to you...you need to keep a piece of your robe inside every robe you will be wearing. The robe was made to protect you from evil spirits and now that it's torn you can stitch them in your new robes, a piece for each robe you wear. " Lan Zhan finished telling Wei Ying what the he refuses to tell his brother .

"Lan Zhan...you still haven't answered me, what did you do to me?" " Wei Ying..I don't want to talk about it now, but I promise...next time we meet I will tell you...okay?"  " But Lan Zh–" he was cut off by a knock at the door and he quickly stood up and went to the bathroom. Lan Zhan watched him go and stood up and  made the bed before opening the door. He opened up  and saw his brother and uncle on the  doorway, he gestured for them to come in and they did. They sat down while Lan Zhan stood up when his uncle spoke " Wanji.. didn't you have a good sleep. Why are  your eyes so puffy and tired?" " I slept late last night, but I am fine" after that he bowed to both of them and packed the robes he wore the day before and did the same for Wei Ying's robes.

By the time Lan Zhan was finished Wei Ying came out of the bathroom all fresher up and dressed. His intention was to hide in the bathroom because he didn't have time to wear his robes since he was named from last night's activities. He greeted both the Lan's and stood beside Lan Zhan as he exchanged smiles with Lan Xichen, Lan Qiren was so curious about the whole thing and he liked around in the room to see if he could get a clue, but Lan  Zhan was a clean freak,not even a strand if hair was seen. The quilt had been folded neatly and the bedsheet was straightened like no one even slept on it.

His eyes glared back to Lan Zhan and Wei Ying, Lan Zhan had a look he always had, stoic look, eyes down, straightened back and both hands on his back. Wei Ying well...Wei Ying was Wei Ying afterall, he had had intertwined his hands and fingers on his back and leaned his shoulder in Lan Zhan's and topped it up with the brightest smile he always had on. He bowed to Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen with respect but carefree and his eyes met Lan Zhan's as they slightly nodded to each other before Lan Qiren spoke " so...you must be Wei Ying...I hope my nephews were good in accommodating you"  he said this with an indifferent look on his face,but Wei Ying didn't mind at all.

" Yes Master Lan, an thank you so much for your help and I'm happy to have met them in time or else I would hav–" "grh-grh!" Lan Zhan cleared his throat to cut off Wei Ying and Lan Xichen took it as his cue to save his younger brother form his uncle's suspicions.
"Err...Wanji, I think we should go. Uncle..." He looked to his uncle to distract his attention towards the soulmates. Lan Qiren was kept in the dark by his nephews about Wei Ying being Lan Zhan's soulmate, Lan Zhan didn't want it the news to come out until they were grown up and maybe by then...Wei Ying would then have fully accepted him.

They were successful in keeping that secret but Lan Qiren was still suspicious, not if them being soulmates but he saw that something was odd. His nephew who didn't want to be near anyone unless it was his brother, someone who doesn't want to be touched not even by his brother sometimes and who didn't want to share a room with him even though he was his uncle was now doing all those things with a complete stranger. What's worse was that Wei Ying was leaning on him but he wasn't moving away from him like he always did with others, he didn't want to push any further with the news at that moment but he kept a highlighted reminder to ask his nephews later on.

" Wei Ying, someone will be here to pick you up because our carriage is too small to accommodate four people and can even barely fit the three of us, and I can see you're still wounded. I think it will be uncomfortable for us to bring you along, I hope you don't mind" " oh not at all, you have done more than enough for me and I can't possibly thank you enough" he bowed to Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen but didn't bow at Lan Zhan and this was not acceptable, not to Lan Qiren. " Wei Ying ! Wanji has helped you a lot more than we did...I think. Why didn't you thank him?"
" Oh! I'm sorry..." He straightened up and stood informt of Lan Zhan and was about to bow but Lan Zhan held his arms to stop him.

" No need for thank yous, take care of yourself " Lan Zhan said with a worried look on his face. Wei Ying nodded and they kept their eyes contact for one last time before Lan Zhan quickly broke the eye contact and hurried to the door with his cloth bag and never looked back. Lan Qiren followed and Lan Xichen was the last Lan in the room and he told Wei Ying " Wei Ying, don't mention your relationship with Lan Zhan to anyone, many people have heard of the prophecy and think it hasn't happened yet, some think it's a myth. I think it's best we keep it that way for both you and Wanji's safety, and you saw that even uncle doesn't know about it.

He really cares about you you know...he worries that you might not have a good life in Lotus Cove and he worries that you will forget about him. I know Wanji seems like he doesn't respect me but it's not like that at all. I understand him better than anyone since he gave me a gift to understand him because like you've seen...he doesn't talk too much and there's little he cares about in this mortal world and that's his family and their safety, but you are on top if the list and I have always known that. He doesn't want me to know because he worries that I might know too much and expose myself to be the one who the Gods trusted to take care of you, and he's right. Uncle has his own way of asking and sometimes it's hard for me to answer otherwise and I cannot lie to him since it's forbidden in our clan.

The less I know about the two of you the better,what I know is enough. But I hope when we meet again...you can talk to me or ask advice about anything and it will be an honour to assist in any way possible. And I do hope by then, the advise you'll seek would be about your relationship...ha-ha...who knows. Well... Take care of yourself. Uncle Jiang will send his desciples to come pick you up, so you must wait for them at the entrance and they will be here in an hour or two. " " Thank you Zewu Jun, I don't know what I would have done if it wasn't for you, I will surely miss your smile which always holds my peace. Save travels and I hope to see you again someday..." He bowed and Lan Xichen bowed back and walked to the door. " It's not about hoping to see me again, but your heart will bring you to us soon." Lan Xichen said these words while opening the door and he closed the door finishing his sentence which left Wei Ying confused and his eyes wide open without blinking for about a minute.

Wow guys, 1500 words. First time to do that since I always end up around 1100-1200 words. But I wanted to finish the Inn part so I could move in to others
