" Thank you Zewu Jun, I don't know what I would have done if it wasn't for you, I will surely miss your smile which always holds my peace. Save travels and I hope to see you again someday..." He bowed and Lan Xichen bowed back and walked to the door. " It's not about hoping to see me again, but your heart will bring you to us soon." Lan Xichen said these words while opening the door and he closed the door finishing his sentence which left Wei Ying confused and his eyes wide open without blinking for about a minute.

After everyone was gone and the room was swallowed by silence Wei Ying woke up from his daze and looked around. The nostalgic smell of sandalwood filled his senses as he remembered the one he pushed away in the beginning but later learned to try and accept him, now he wished he had given birth of them a chance to live together as soulmates just for the day he spent with him other than rejecting him. He was sad as he looked at the bedroom which brought Lan Zhan closer to him the night before and the feeling was so overwhelming that a lone tear crept out of his eye, he caught it before it fell down not wanting to taint the last memory he had with sadness.

Right then and there, he promised himself to work hard and train hard to be strong enough to be by Lan Zhan's side in the future. He held on to Lan Zhan's last words of advice and he held dear the promise Lan Zhan had made to him as he remembered it clearly  " Wei Ying...I don't want to talk about it now, but I promise...next time we meet I will tell you...okay" Those words echoed in his mind as he also made himlsef a promise to be more open about the thought of being with a man. He had never wanted a relationship with a man let alone a man as handsome and elegant and pure at heart with a few little words to say but more caring than anyone he had ever met before.

He walked out of the room as he dragged his legs and his mind still not willing to leave the memories behind. He for ed himself out and waited by the Inn door until he remembered something. The old lady who he always helped and remembered that she had also helped him the evening before he met Lan Zhan. He stood up to go look for her by the stall she usually went to and even tried asking around.  No one even noticed that the boy asking was the same one who sleeps on the streets and they would always throw insults at him or even garbage when he asked them for food. They were too polite to him because of his look, a white robes which had prints of sky blue clouds and a cloud partened belt around his waist with a whift of sandlewood which they knew was expensive and only a few could afford it, his neatly combed and tied ponytail which was dark tied with a Reb ribbon his mother gave him. He looked like he came from a wealthy family and they were more than willing to answer his questions.

All the stall holders denied seeing her, maybe because to them she was a nobody that they couldn't care less about since she lived in the dirty corners of the streets, but to Wei Ying she was more than that. She was like a grandmother who had no one and nothing but she kindly helped him even though she couldn't walk properly because of her blisters  or even speak but she had a the kindest heart. He reme6that he had promised her to help her find her family after he was healed and Wei Ying didn't mind going on a journey with her to find them even if it meant loosing a chance of living in a good life with a good family. He had remembered that his father had said clan leader Jiang Fengmian was his dear friend and he thought he would t mind if he went on this quest and go back to Lotus Cove when he gets back.

Wei Ying was now getting tired since he had looked for over three hours and was now getting exhausted from walking around the while city looking for the old lady. He gave up and went to sit by the Inn waiting for the Jiang clan desciples to come pick him up. It was still morning by then and by the time he saw the stall holders pack their goods he the realised it was late already and no one had come for him. He went inside the Inn and asked the Inn keeper if anyone had come asking for him, but the Inn keeper only said that he was busy with his customers the whole day and doesn't remember if anyone came asking for anyone.

Wei Ying became more sad as he couldn't find the old lady and now his best chance of finding a family was gone. He thought of staying in the streets again but he knew he couldn't.. for Lan Zhan's sake, he told himself that he will personally go to Lotus Cove by himself. He started walking and by now the sun had already set with rain clouds threatening to bring rain by the horizon and he hurried just to get there before it pours. But, there was one problem, Wei Ying was just walking not knowing which direction Lotus Cove was in and even though he took the right direction he still didn't know how far he was to reach there.

He kept on walking until he felt his feet get numb and sore, he decided to rest up the tree in the forest. The forest was not too thick and from up the trees you could see anything from a distance. Far away in a little distance he saw some tiny lights and he concluded that that was Lotus Cove, he wanted to continue his journey and even though he had been walking for hours and was now midnight he was still persistent to carry on his journey until he heard thunders roaring and the smell of wet ground bit his nostrils with lighting flashes telling him how dangerous it was to keep on.

The rumbles were getting closer and closer till the cold wind navigated through the trees passing through, he took out his torn robes he had been carrying with him all this time. The robes which Lan Zhan had neatly packed for him that morning. He smelled them and his mind went hazzy with the sandlewood scent because Lan Zhan packed it after taking a bath with sandlewood scented soap. He closed his eyes taking in the scent and when he opened them again he gasped and said " Lan Zhan! " He saw Lan Zhan sitting next to him on the tree branch, smiling at him and he  leaned closer to hug him while calling out his name " Lan Zhan!! I missed you so much, don't go away and leave me. I want to tell you something Lan Zhan.. I like you...I really like you a lot.."  Wei Ying cried as the rain started to fall and washed away his tears.
