After work, Nick is standing by my car. I approach him carefully looking in all directions to make sure no one was around.

"What's up?" I ask, overlooking him.

"My brother is still in town, he rented an Airbnb and wanted to meet you properly. Do you want to have dinner with us?"

"Um, yeah. Sure. I just need to go home and get changed." I tell him.

"Okay, cool. I'll text you the address." He says.

Later that night.

I arrive at the address Nick sent me. I text him letting him know I was there. Getting out of my car I notice three vehicles parked in the driveway and it struck me as sorta strange.

Nick comes out of the front doorway and walks down to meet me.

"Hey, you look good." He says.

"Thank you. Hey, why is there three cars here?" I ask, anxiously.

"Oh, that's just my brother and my parents." He says, casually as we're walking towards the front door.

"Parents?!" I stop dead in my tracks. "Nick. What the fuck?" I breath out, staring at him.

"You'll be fine you'll fit right in. My dad loves the eff word." He laughs.

He opens the door and practically drags me in by my hand. I was starting to think he was out of his fucking mind at this point.

"Hey, everyone. This is Liliana." Nick says, out loudly. Leading me into the kitchen.

His parents come and greet me, his mom even gave me hug. I felt extremely uncomfortable, but at this point I just had to go with it, and hope to survive the night.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you, Liliana. Nick has been telling us all about you." Says his mom, warmly.

"Has he?" I look at him and smile, trying hard not to give him a death stare.

"It's nice seeing you, again." His brother smirks, leaning against the counter, holding a glass of wine.

I definitely felt like he was implying something there. Especially, with that little smirk he had across his face. It gave me a hot flash of emotions.

"Hey, Joey.. right?" I awkwardly, ask.

"That's me." He nods, with a smile. Tilting his wine glass towards me before taking a sip, his eyes never loosing sight of me.

Oh, for fuck sakes. This was going to be a long night.

His dad stands there quietly, observing us. "Is dinner almost done? Nick shouldn't be up late. He has practice tomorrow."

I could tell his dad probably questioned my intentions. I already pin pointed him as the one that was going to be hard to win over. I'm sure he wanted his son to stay focused on football and since he was a football player himself, knew all too well I was causing Nick to become side tracked.

"It'll be done soon. Go sit down guys." Nicks, mom replies.

"Can I help you with anything?" I ask her, politely.
