I walk his friends downstairs and they kind of awkwardly, stand around for a moment."Thanks for the help, guys." I tell them.
"No problem, you're Liliana, right?"
"Yeah, I'm sure you've herd a whole bunch of amazing things about me." I laugh.
"I'm Sam." He chuckles, warmly giving me his hand to shake. "—And don't worry most of what we've herd about you isn't all that terrible."
I lightly, close my eyes for moment. "Ah, that's good."
When I open back up my eyes I look at Joe who is staring at me. "Nick is just, Nick. Don't take it too hard on yourself." He says.
"What do you mean?" I question him.
"I mean he's always been a little wishy washy when it comes to relationships." He laughs. "I swear the guy could find any excuse to breakup with someone."
I raise up my eyebrows. "Oh, really?"
He rubs the back of his neck in a nervous manner. "I mean.. I don't know for sure now. We don't get to hangout as much. Busy guys!" He smiles.
"How do you know him. Just through football or?"
"Yeah, we played at Ohio State together." He answers.
"Hm, that makes sense." I smile.
"Yeah, so can you take my number? And text me if you need help with him tonight. We're actually staying in a hotel not too far from here."
I grab my phone and enter in his number. Afterwards, I walk them to the door, but before I could open it Joey comes stalking in.
"What the hell? You guys just left without me?" He says, frustrated looking between Joe and Sam.
"You're brother was blitzed. We had to get him out of there." Says Sam. "He could barely even stand on his own."
"Where is he?" Joey questions us.
"In bed." Joe and I both reply in unison.
Joey doesn't waste any more time and quickly jogs up the stairs. He must have been worried about Nick.
The guys say their goodbyes to me and leave. Once they are gone I make my way back upstairs as well.
When I past Nicks room I notice the door is open and I can hear Nick uncontrollably, sobbing. I look in and see Joey sitting on the bed next to him. He was holding Nick in his arms.
This made me nearly, burst into tears myself. I slowly and delicately move inside the room towards the two of them. I wanted to say something... anything, but the words were caught in my throat.
Joey looks up at me now. I could tell his eyes were red and stinging, he was also on the verge of crying himself. "Why did you do it, Lili?" He asks me.
"What?" I breath. I get close and kneel on the ground next to the bed.
"Why did you have to fucking kiss Jimmy!" He replies, loudly.
